Avedio Links 4K@60Hz HDMI Splitter — 1×2 Mirror Output
Product description
Overview
This compact HDMI 2.0b splitter duplicates a single HDMI input to two HDMI outputs, sending the same video and audio stream to both displays at once. Designed for mirroring rather than multi-screen extension, it preserves image and sound when used with compatible displays and sources.
What it does not do
The unit is mirror-only: it cannot extend separate content to two monitors. It is not an HDMI switcher — it will not accept multiple inputs to feed a single display. It is not an audio extractor and will not output to standalone audio gear such as soundbars. The splitter does not support ARC or eARC and has no CEC functionality.
Resolution, color and cable guidance
The splitter supports UHD 4Kx2K@60Hz (RGB 4:4:4) and 1080p modes including 60Hz and 120Hz where applicable, with deep color at 30/36 bit and up to an 18.5 Gbps signal path. It can automatically or forcibly downscale when driving mixed-resolution screens, but it will not convert 4Kx2K@60Hz 4:2:2 into 1080p. For reliable 4K performance use HDMI 2.0-quality cables (AWG 26 recommended) and keep cable runs to about 16 feet (≈5 m) or less; for 1080p, runs of roughly 32.8 feet (≈10 m) are supported.
Compatibility and uses
This splitter works with a wide range of HDMI devices including TVs, monitors, projectors, set‑top boxes, DVD/Blu‑ray players, PCs and game consoles (PS3/4/5, Xbox series, Nintendo Switch, etc.). Typical applications include home entertainment setups, business presentations, classroom displays, events and digital signage where the same image is required on two screens.
Package contents and setup
Included in the box are one Avedio Links HDMI 4K@60Hz splitter, one USB power cable with a wall adapter, and a 4 ft HDMI 2.0 cable. Setup is straightforward: connect your source to the splitter’s input, run HDMI cables to your two displays, plug in the USB power, and power on the devices — the unit is plug-and-play in most environments.
Pros
- Mirrors a single HDMI source to two displays up to 4K@60Hz
- Automatic handling of mixed 4K and 1080p outputs
- Includes power cable, adapter and a 4 ft HDMI 2.0 cable
Cons
- Mirror-only — no extend, switching, or audio extraction
- Micro‑USB power instead of USB‑C
- No ARC/eARC or CEC support; limited downscale scenarios
VerdictAvedio Links’ 1×2 HDMI splitter is a simple mirroring appliance that reliably duplicates one source to two screens for basic viewing and presentation needs. It supports UHD 4K@60Hz RGB 4:4:4 and common 1080p modes and offers automatic mixed-resolution handling, but it is intentionally limited: no extended desktops, no input switching, no audio extraction, and no ARC/eARC or CEC features. Simple and effective
Works great for my needs.

Reliable for NVR split feeds
Sends my NVR output cleanly so I can retransmit downstairs without affecting the main HDMI fiber run. Plug-and-play and both displays show good picture quality.

Matches my older unit
Had my previous splitter for three years until it was damaged; this replacement performs the same as the original.

Works, but power adapter died
The splitter performed as expected, but the included USB wall adapter failed after a month. I had spares, so it wasn’t a total loss, but I can’t give five stars.

Unstable signal and build concerns
Experienced frequent cutouts and flicker, especially at higher resolutions or with two displays connected. The unit gets warm, ports feel loose and the included cable seemed low quality.

Uppfyllde nästan allt men var mindre än jag trodde så det var ju mitt eget fel f 5/5
Perfect after a restart
Worked immediately for video but needed a PC restart to get audio. After reboot everything has been stable.

Good for occasional use, not rugged
Worked well for weekly karaoke gigs and was recognized quickly, but after several dozen setups it stopped being detected. Lightweight but not very durable for heavy use.

Does the job — preserves connections
Solved my need to feed a monitor and TV without swapping cables. Keeps HDMI ports from wear and mirrors the source cleanly for gaming and video playback.

Do your research first
It mirrors one source to two identical outputs. I mistakenly expected independent screens — read the specs before buying.

Solid 1080p performance, prefer USB‑C
Runs my Switch on two 10m monitors at 1080p without issues. Feels a bit light and cheap; micro‑USB power is handy but USB‑C would be better.
