Clear Adhesive Wall Hooks — 16-Pack Heavy-Duty Stainless Steel
Product description
What’s included and materials
This kit contains 16 small stick-on hooks. Each unit combines a clear plastic adhesive backing with a folded stainless-steel hook. The materials are corrosion-resistant, designed to be water- and oil-resistant, and intended for repeated household use.
How to install
Start by cleaning the mounting area so it’s free of dust, grease and moisture. Peel the protective film, press the adhesive base firmly to the surface to expel air, and hold for a few seconds. Allow the bond to set — waiting about 24 hours before loading the hook yields the best adhesion. The stated maximum single-hook capacity is 22 pounds, but prolonged heavy loads are not advised.
Removability and reuse
These hooks are designed to avoid drilling and nails and can be removed when no longer needed. To reuse, warm the adhesive backing with a hair dryer to soften the glue, then detach and reapply following cleaning. Because adhesion varies with the mounting surface, they are not recommended for securing high-value or fragile items for long durations.
Compatible surfaces and uses
The adhesive bases work best on smooth, nonporous surfaces such as glass, tile, metal and finished wood. Typical uses include hanging bags, purses, hats, cups, towels, robes, keys, coats, pictures, lightweight shelves, plants, RV accessories, toilet brushes, measuring spoons and holiday decorations like garlands and wreaths.
Proper removal technique
Lift a corner of the clear PVC backing and peel it off gradually. Warming the adhesive with a hair dryer softens the glue for easier removal. If any residue remains, it can be wiped away with isopropyl alcohol or a similar cleaner.
Pros
- Strong hold on clean, smooth surfaces
- Water- and rust-resistant stainless steel hooks
- Reusable after heating to soften the adhesive
Cons
- Adhesion varies with surface; poor on textured walls
- Can pull paint from drywall during removal
- Very strong glue can be difficult to remove without heat
VerdictA versatile 16-piece set of clear, stainless-steel hooks that deliver strong holding power on smooth surfaces when applied correctly. They resist water and oil, can support sizable loads up to 22 lb, and are reusable after heating. Performance depends heavily on surface type and proper prep; removal can be clean but has produced paint damage on drywall in some cases. Good for renters and seasonal

Alignment issue on some pieces
Several hooks arrived with the metal hook mounted off-center on the backing, so they hang a bit crooked when applied.

Tropical Breeze 5/5
Very sticky within weight limits
Adhesive is strong and reliable as long as you stay under the stated weight capacity.

Perfect for seasonal styling
Handy for garlands and wreaths. Size works well and they’re straightforward to use for holiday displays.

Solid hold and simple setup
Easy to apply and they grip smooth surfaces well. Hung towels, keys and light décor without drilling and removed them cleanly when following the warm-removal method.

Reliable for porch banners in heat and wind
Used these on a metal porch ceiling to hang festive banners. They withstood summer heat and gusts when I looped a small reusable tie through each hook. The single-piece steel hook feels solid and should come off cleanly with some heat.

Much stronger than last batch — be careful
Earlier set worked great for holiday décor. Recent ones bonded so tightly they required heavy heat and left wall damage. They hold extremely well, but can be too aggressive for some surfaces.

Consistent grip; prep helps
I re-buy these and clean the surface with alcohol first. Once adhered, they don’t budge. For heavy items I use two and press firmly to ensure full contact.

Great holding power but can ruin drywall paint
Hooks hold heavy items well and the metal hook is secure, but removal from painted drywall tore off paint despite heating the backing. Helpful, but avoid on painted drywall if you care about the finish.

Not the plastic claimed by seller
Product is made of metal rather than plastic as described, and the finish felt low-quality. Functionality varied across pieces.

Lissette 5/5
Sturdy, discreet and bathroom-safe
Needed hooks that won’t damage walls. They handle towels and wreaths, are virtually invisible once mounted, work in showers, and can be reused if cleaned. Best on tile or glass; press firmly and let the adhesive cure first.

Stronger than expected and subtle look
Adhesive was more powerful than I anticipated. The clear backing blends in well and the hooks support small shelves, frames and bags.
