    A bit flimsy but more reliable than others

    My old unit lasted years, so I compared several new brands: Braun, Boncare, iProven and this model. Boncare gave wildly varying numbers, iProven was inconsistent between forehead and ear and fluctuated by about a degree. This one felt a little light, but delivered steadier, more accurate forehead readings in my tests on my daughter and myself.
