Product description

This 2-in-1 bird perch scale ships as a compact digital base with a removable perch and a birdie weight log card. The perch attaches to the top for hands-free weighing of birds and detaches quickly so the base can serve as an ordinary digital scale for food, bowls, treats and other small items.

The unit features a textured perch surface to give birds a steadier grip while being weighed. Readings appear on a backlit digital display that can be switched between grams, ounces, and pounds for flexible tracking. The scale supports weights up to 3 kg (about 6.6 lb).

Intended uses include routine weight checks with the perch in place, and measuring bird food, seeds, pellets, supplements or small daily items when the perch is removed. The scale’s footprint is compact for easy placement on countertops or aviary workspaces.

Cleaning is straightforward: the perch and the scale surface can be wiped down after use to maintain hygiene. The package typically contains the digital scale base, one detachable bird perch, and a Birdie weight log card for recording results.

This tool is suitable for many small and medium companion birds—budgies, cockatiels, conures, quakers, ringnecks, and a range of parrots including Amazons and African greys—as well as for multi-pet households that need a single, adaptable weighing solution.

Handy for both birds and reptiles

I monitor birds and snakes with this scale — perch for birds, bowl for reptiles. The platform is stable, the readout is clear, and the measurements match another scale I use. Simple setup and easy to wipe clean.

Fits larger parrots like my African grey

Recommended by my avian vet to log daily weights, this unit accommodates my grey comfortably. It arrived complete, needs only batteries, and is straightforward to clean and read for routine monitoring.

Better suited to parakeets and small raptors

I use this for routine checks on small falcons like kestrels and merlins; the perch fits them well but feels tight for bigger birds. It arrived ready to use, the backlit display is helpful in low light, and switching units is simple enough for my daughter to handle.
