Floating & Wall-Mount Fry Breeding Box (3.38×3.38×5.4 in)
Product description
This kit includes a single clear nursery chamber sized 3.38 x 3.38 x 5.4 inches, plus heavy-duty suction cups and a foam float ring for surface suspension. The main cylinder is constructed from BPA-free plastic engineered for clarity and scratch resistance so you can observe fry from all angles.
The unit is designed to be used two ways: set it to float at the waterline with the foam ring or secure it against the tank glass using the provided suction cups for a mounted isolation area. A fine, reinforced mesh and smooth molded edges act as a protective barrier to keep tiny fry separated from adult fish while allowing water flow.
A removable lid and wide top opening allow for easy feeding, cleaning, and transferring of fry. The compact footprint helps conserve aquarium space, making it suitable for guppies, tetras, bettas, small danios, and juvenile shrimp in community tanks.
Assembly is minimal — attach the suction cups or fit the foam ring as preferred, place the inner mesh insert if used, and position the unit in the tank. Regular, gentle water exchanges and occasional cleaning of the cylinder and mesh are recommended to keep conditions healthy for developing fry.

The size is tailored to very small species and crowded tanks; maintenance is straightforward thanks to a detachable top. Not ideal for jump-prone fish or users needing a large isolation area, bu

Not ideal for shrimp
Didn’t work well for shrimp but was acceptable for keeping tiny fish.

Worked well for my danios
Used the exterior section to keep fry alive until they were big enough for the main tank. Size similar to a short glass jar. No lid, so jumpers won’t stay put. Build quality is typical for this style; water exchange side-to-side isn’t great.

Solid floating divider
Performs well as a floating separator in my setup.

Good for fry and small shrimp
Ideal for raising fry directly in a community tank. Size and protection were suitable.

Too cramped for females
Far too small to comfortably hold a mature female fish.

Did its job
Kept my newborns safe from the male during birthing. Mom didn’t enjoy being confined, but the fry survived and cleaning the unit was simple.

Useful but flawed
Helpful in a pinch but lacks a lid and has thin plastic edges that can be sharp. The design is basic: an outer tube with a removable inner tube with holes for fry to drop through. I upgraded my rating after more use.

Convenient and simple
Handy size for placing a birthing female without dismantling the tank. Remove the insert when mom is ready to rejoin the group.
