28" Metal Christmas Tree Collar — Snowflake Design for Pencil & Standard Trees
Product description
Universal sizing and fit
This metal tree collar offers a 28" lower opening, a 20.8" upper opening and a height of 9.85". It’s intended to work with most tree stands that measure under 24" across, making it suitable for slim pencil trees as well as many fuller artificial trees. We recommend measuring your stand to confirm compatibility before installing.
Durable materials and farmhouse styling
Constructed from galvanized metal, the collar is built to hold up through the season while lending a rustic farmhouse look. The metal panels are finished to blend with a variety of decors and the overall design serves as a sturdy, attractive base for your tree rather than a loose fabric skirt.
What’s in the box
The kit includes six metal panels, the required fasteners and quick-release pins for straightforward assembly. All pieces interlock to form a secure ring around the tree stand and the hardware is supplied so you can set it up right away.
Assembly, storage and use
Panels bolt together and the quick-release pins simplify setup and takedown. When disassembled it lies flat for compact storage in a closet or under a bed, saving space until next season. It neatly hides tree stands and water containers while providing a clean, finished look.
Decorative cutouts and pet safety
Laser-cut snowflake patterns let holiday light play through the sides to create a warm glow when illuminated. Because it’s metal, the collar is much more resistant to curious pets than a fabric skirt, helping prevent chewing, scratching or tipping of the tree stand.
Pros
- Durable galvanized metal construction
- Quick assembly and flat, compact storage
- Pet-resistant and decorative laser-cut design
Cons
- Relatively short height—trunk may remain visible
- Not compatible with very wide tree stands (over 24")
- Lighting placed inside may not always perform reliably
VerdictA sturdy, decorative metal base that conceals tree stands and discourages pets from accessing the tree. Easy to assemble from six galvanized panels with quick-release pins and packs flat for off-season storage. Best for shorter trunk displays and stands under 24"; lighting results may vary.

Attractive but not very tall
This replaced a damaged set I returned, so I’m giving four stars. The new collar looks fine. If your tree’s lower trunk is long, this collar is fairly low and more of the trunk will remain visible unless you shorten the center pole. I like that we no longer need a fabric skirt for the train to sit flat.

Much prettier than expected
Very attractive in person. It takes a little time to screw the six panels together, but it’s worth it. I tucked a light strand inside to make the snowflake cutouts glow and it really improves the presentation.

Fits our setup perfectly
A great complement to our tree and the train display. Matches our country decor and assembled/disassembled without fuss. We placed lights inside the base and the snowflake shapes lit up nicely when the room lights were off.

Measure first
Easy to assemble and well made, but it was too small for our stand so I returned it. I liked everything else about the product.

Pretty and practical
Solid collar that does what it should. Clean, simple look that doesn’t steal attention from the tree. Panels are sturdy with neat snowflake cutouts and no visible flaws. Easy to put together. The cutouts don’t let a lot of light through, so I plan to add my own lights inside. Overall pleased with the purchase.

A keeper for years
I enjoy the red metal finish and haven’t used the internal lights, though I think they’d be a nice touch. It goes together and apart easily and stores back in its box. I expect to use this for many seasons.

Great look, lights were problematic
The collar cut down on my cats getting at the decorations and I like the style. The small lights I tried worked initially but then failed when woven into the collar. A replacement behaved the same way. Others had success, but the lighting was unreliable for me.
