CD Slot Mount for CarPlay Screen — 360° Rotating CD-Slot Mount
Product description
What you get: the complete CD-slot mounting assembly — an adjustable ball-joint head, a triangular expansion insert that fits into a CD opening, a threaded tightening knob and a mounting plate that mates with the back of compatible screens.
Rotation and adjustment: the mount uses a universal ball-joint connection that allows full 360° rotation and a wide range of tilt. Rotate and angle the display to match your driving position; the joint is designed for frequent repositioning without needing tools.
Stabilizing structure: the base relies on a three-point triangular expansion that presses against the inner walls of the CD slot to create a secure hold. That geometry limits wobble and keeps the assembly seated even when the road gets rough.
Compatibility and sizing: the bracket supports CarPlay displays, dash cams, GPS units and similar devices with screens between 6.86 and 11.30 inches. It requires a standard, exposed CD slot — it will not work with concealed slot mechanisms or slots positioned immediately adjacent to the gearshift lever.
Materials and durability: constructed from high-strength, wear-resistant nylon to tolerate daily handling and occasional knocks. The parts are engineered for repeated use, but overtightening the adjustment knob or extreme heat can stress plastic components over time.
Installation notes: install by sliding the expansion base into the CD opening, attaching the screen's rear holes to the mount plate, and then tightening the knob until the assembly holds firm. The unit can be mounted with the display facing upward or downward; always double-check the knob is secure before driving.

Solid and unobtrusive
Very robust — helps position the screen so it doesn't block the windshield view. Fits my 2018 Toyota 4Runner perfectly and holds steady in normal driving.

Functional but check clearance
It does the job. On my MDX it ended up covering a secondary display so measure before installing. It holds well enough, though I still worry about it coming loose on rough roads.

Shows signs of softening
Works for day-to-day use but the mount appears to sag over time, especially in hot conditions. Functionally fine, but the material seems to warp and the screen can droop between uses.

Good design but can loosen over time
Arrived intact with all parts. Setup was simple: slide the base in, expand the fins and tighten the adjustment until the screen felt secure. It works well, though repeated bumps and touchscreen use may let it work loose. Also, the adjustment knob sits near my volume dial and can be bumped by accident.

Parts break if overtightened
Quality feels low in places. When the knob is overtightened it can snap, and the single-piece insertion fins lack a hinge so the middle fin resists bending and stresses the fastener.

Excellent fit for older models
Bought this for an older Toyota RAV4 and it installed easily. I tightened the bolt fully and it holds without bounce. Keeps the screen shaded from direct sun better than dash-mounted solutions.

Does what it promises
Fits neatly into the CD opening and leaves enough space to reach controls behind the screen. It wobbles slightly under certain conditions, but that’s common for non-permanent mounts. Quick to install and feels solid rather than flimsy.
