This broader mounting surface reduces the chance of peeling from friction or door movement and helps the seal remain secure over time.
Tool-Free Installation: To fit the sweep, clean and dry the door bottom thoroughly, trim the strip to the door’s width, remove the adhesive liner, and press the tape firmly onto the door edge. Allow the adhesive to set by minimizing use for 24 hours after application. In cold conditions, warming the adhesive briefly with a hair dryer for about two minutes improves tack before you apply it.
Multiple Lengths and Wide Compatibility: The sweep is offered in lengths of 39 inches and 78 inches and measures about 1.96 inches across. It accommodates gaps up to 1.5 inches; you can adjust the vertical position to match the clearance at your threshold. The self-adhesive seal works on exterior and interior doors, bathroom doors, garage and sliding doors, thresholds, baseboards, and even some window gaps. Be sure to measure your door gap before selecting a length.

Really effective and looks professional
Worked exactly as I hoped. I cleaned the door, warmed the tape briefly (I used the microwave by mistake—don’t imitate me), trimmed to size and pressed it on. I aligned it to barely touch the carpet so it dragged slightly and stopped all airflow. Matched my white door and gives a finished look. Take your time installing and it performs great.
