Earth Pak Roll-Top Waterproof Dry Bag for Kayaking and Paddling
Product description
Designed for life on and near the water, these roll-top dry bags are made from abrasion-resistant 500D PVC and seal with a fold-and-clip roll-top closure to protect your gear during kayaking, boating, paddleboarding, rafting, canoeing and fishing. The line is offered in six capacities — 5L, 10L, 20L, 30L, 40L and 55L — so you can choose a size for just a phone and wallet or for a full weekend of kit.
Each package includes the dry sack plus an IPX8-certified waterproof phone pouch sized to fit phones up to about 6.5 inches; the pouch has dual clear windows so you can operate the screen and take pictures from a kayak or board. Smaller models (10L and 20L) come with a 24–42 inch adjustable shoulder strap. The 30L and 40L versions add backpack-style shoulder straps and a sternum strap for improved stability, and the 55L has those plus a heavy-duty waist belt to help distribute heavier loads.
Lightweight and compressible, the bags roll down small when empty to stow easily on a boat, in a hatch, or inside luggage for travel. There’s a small attachment loop near the base for keys or a carabiner, and the outer material wipes clean with a damp cloth; for tougher grime, a gentle rinse will do. The manufacturer backs the product with a five-year warranty and the design has received favorable recognition from impartial gear reviewers in 2024.

Well made and versatile
Feels solid and well constructed; the roll-top closes smoothly and straps are adjustable and reconfigurable for left or right carry. I haven’t fully submerged it, but the build suggests good water resistance. Planning to use it for hiking and paddling — the 20L fits plenty and packs down for travel.

Kept gear dry on a rainy excursion
Did a wet whale-watching trip where rain drenched many backpacks, but the gear inside this dry bag stayed bone dry. The larger size includes backpack straps which made hikes much easier, and the carry handle formed when the top was clipped. The material held up to rugged handling and wipes clean with a damp cloth.

Kaua‘i day trip companion
Bought this for a Kaua‘i outing and it handled a big towel, water shoes, snacks and spare clothes with ease. The small base loop was handy for a key clip and the included phone sleeve was in the bundle. Stowed under a boat seat without items spilling and stayed dry at the beach and on tubing runs. Strap worked well worn across the body; no strong chemical smell out of the box. Would buy again — the 10L was just right for day use.

Mostly excellent — be careful with phone pouch
Used the 30L on a river float and it fit towels, cover-ups and essentials with room to spare. The waterproof phone pouch itself kept my phone dry, but a small loop intended to attach it to the lanyard failed and the phone ended up in shallow water; it was recovered. Overall the bag performed well, but I’d advise extra caution if you wear the pouch around your neck.

Haven’t had a chance to use it yet, so my rating is based on appearance and build quality. It seems well made and solid.

Premium quality at a practical value
I own several of these and prefer them to more expensive alternatives. Construction is reliable, the straps are sized well, and delivery was prompt. The line hits the right balance of quality and affordability; very pleased with the purchase and the brand’s professionalism.

Solid product and responsive seller
Ordered two sizes for different packing needs. The fulfillment center shipped the same size twice by mistake. The seller emailed quickly after notification, explained a label mix-up, and offered to correct it. The bags themselves are durable and well finished; customer support made the resolution simple and reassuring.
