Festicy Skin-Tone Liquid Latex 1 oz — Professional SFX & Bald Cap Adhesive
Product description
Halloween and SFX foundation: This liquid latex acts as the base for zombie skin, burns, torn flesh and similar effects. Apply with a brush, let it dry into a stretchable film, then layer pigments, powders or fake blood for finished wounds. The skin-tone tint is intended to blend more smoothly into the face than clear or white latex.
Adhesive for caps and appliances: Use a thin bead along the edge of a bald cap, a foam nose or a small prosthetic to secure it flat against the skin for several hours. The 1 ounce bottle is sized for touch-ups, costume kits and travel rather than full-face jobs.
Forming scars and peeling skin: You can brush on layers and manipulate them while tacky to create torn skin or raised scars; tearing or lifting the latex while it sets gives jagged edges. It also works as a sealing layer over scar wax or as an alternative to stiffer scarring liquids.
Stage and convention use: Compact and quick-drying, the bottle fits easily in a makeup kit and can fix a lifting edge or small rip on the fly. It dries to move with facial expressions without becoming brittle when used in small amounts.
Composition and precautions: Made from natural latex and tinted to a skin-like shade, the product comes in a 1 oz (approx. 30 ml) squeeze bottle. Always perform a patch test at least 24 hours before full application, and keep it away from eyes, lips and hair. Do not use if you or others have known latex sensitivity.
Pros
- Skin-tone tint blends with makeup
- Dries flexible and accepts makeup
- Compact 1 oz bottle for touch-ups
Cons
- Small volume for larger projects
- Contains natural latex—allergenic
- Some users note odor or off-color
VerdictThis small bottle is handy for costumes, quick repairs and small prosthetic work. It forms a flexible, skin-tone film that accepts makeup and can secure cap edges or light appliances. Performance is generally good for short-term wear, but the 1 oz size limits large projects and anyone sensitive to latex should avoid it. Overall a practical travel or emergency SFX solution, but not ideal as the onl

Returned it
Sent it back — too small for the cost at 30 ml.

Okay for casual costumes
Dries a bit slowly and isn't pro-grade, but fine for carnival or Halloween. Consider a larger bottle if you use it often.

Disappointed
Did not perform for me; felt like a waste of time and money.

Good performance but odd scent and shade
Worked well, yet it had a chemical smell and the tint wasn't a true skin tone. Otherwise it performed reliably.

Looks as pictured
Haven't opened it yet, but the bottle matches the photo. Bought it a year ago and it still seems fine.

Handy and fast-drying
Easy to apply, dries quickly and the small bottle gives precise drops.

Patch-test and build layers
Always test for latex sensitivity on skin first. I found it useful for horns when built up with tissue layers.

Very effective and long-lasting
Great product, lets you work creatively. Be careful around facial hair—cleanup can sting if it gets in the beard.

Smaller than expected
Bottle is tiny but a little latex goes far. Good formula, but I'd get a larger size next time.
