Fiber Optic HDMI Cable (HDMI 2.1) — 8K/4K High-Speed Cord
Product description
This fiber optic HDMI 2.1 cable is sold as a single, ready-to-use cord. Each unit comes with HDMI A-type connectors at both ends, a braided outer jacket for abrasion resistance, and clear direction labels printed on the connectors — typically marked SOURCE (for PCs, players or consoles) and DISPLAY (for TVs, monitors or projectors).
The cable core is constructed with optical fiber to carry high-bandwidth digital signals with minimal loss, enabling up to 48Gbps throughput. That bandwidth supports resolutions up to 7680×4320 (8K at 60Hz) and 4K at 120Hz, plus Dynamic HDR, 3D formats, and HDCP 2.2 compliance. It also handles enhanced audio paths such as eARC and common immersive audio codecs for a home theater experience.
Available in various lengths to suit different installations — from shorter runs for media centers to long-distance runs (examples include 15 ft, 75 ft and 100 ft configurations). The slim, flexible braided jacket and lightweight fiber construction make the cable easier to manage than heavy copper alternatives, simplifying routing through walls or around furniture.
Because the cable is unidirectional, you must orient it correctly: plug the connector labeled SOURCE into the signal emitter (computer, console, Blu-ray) and the connector labeled DISPLAY into the screen or projector. The manufacturer offers customer support for setup and troubleshooting if you encounter handshake or compatibility issues.
This cable is backward compatible with older HDMI revisions, so it will function with HDMI 2.0 and earlier devices, though feature availability will depend on the connected equipment's capabilities.
Pros
- High 48Gbps bandwidth for 8K and 4K at high refresh rates
- Lightweight, flexible braided fiber design for long runs
- Supports eARC, VRR and common HDR/audio standards
Cons
- Directional — must connect SOURCE and DISPLAY correctly
- Requires compatible devices to access full HDMI 2.1 features
- Long lengths may need careful handling to avoid stress
VerdictA reliable fiber optic HDMI 2.1 cable that delivers high-resolution video and robust audio over long distances. It supports 48Gbps throughput for 8K@60Hz and 4K@120Hz, plus gaming features like VRR and audio formats via eARC. The lightweight, braided construction makes it easy to route while providing good interference resistance. Best for installations where signal integrity over long runs matter

Truly plug-and-play
I picked the 75 ft model to reroute my media PC to the TV and it was immediate plug-and-play. No configuration required, no glitches while streaming or playing local files, and the 4K looked cleaner than my old copper cable. Cable feels sturdy and is advertised for indoor/outdoor use. Highly recommended.
