G-S Hypo Cement Precision Adhesive, 1/3 oz Tube — Transparent
Product description
This product comes as a single 1/3 ounce tube fitted with a precision needle applicator for highly controlled placement. The formula dries clear and remains flexible rather than becoming brittle, making it suitable for transparent parts and small moving assemblies. The adhesive is formulated to avoid instant bonding to skin under normal handling, helping reduce accidental adhesion.
The cement is intended for fine work: repairing plastic or glass watch crystals, reinforcing knots when stringing beads, jewelry repair, camera and optical repairs, hobbies and model assembly, and light industrial or electronic fixtures where a small, neat bond is required. The company has used this style of pinpoint applicator for many decades, and the product is designed to produce an invisible finish on acrylic or mineral surfaces.
Cure time is relatively fast — the adhesive begins to set within about 10 minutes — yet it leaves enough short working time to make micro-adjustments. Any surplus adhesive can be softened and removed with rubbing alcohol, standard nail polish remover, or acetone. Because it dries water-clear and stays flexible, it’s a common choice where appearance and slight movement resistance are both important.
Pros
- Pinpoint needle applicator for precise placement
- Dries water-clear and remains flexible
- Formulation won’t instantly bond to skin
Cons
- Cap/needle can be fiddly to reseal
- Tube can be hard to control and may over-squeeze
- Relatively quick set time limits long adjustments
VerdictA dependable micro-adhesive for delicate repairs and crafts. The fine needle tip lets you place tiny amounts with control, and the cured joint remains clear and slightly flexible — ideal for watch crystals, jewelry knots, and small assemblies. It isn't flawless: the closure and squeeze control can be awkward, so handle the tube carefully. Overall, it delivers precise placement and a discreet, dura

Keeps bracelet knots secure
Holds knots in place reliably on my bracelets. My only gripe is the cap — it’s tricky to recap without losing a bit of glue.

Used this for my jewelry projects
I rely on this adhesive for all my jewelry work. The cap can be awkward to replace, but the glue itself cleans up easily and doesn't grab like cyanoacrylate.

Saved a bezel pip repair
I fixed a tiny bezel pip myself and avoided an expensive repair. Using a toothpick to apply minute dabs worked great; the piece has stayed secure since.

Useful for micro-mechanisms
Perfect for attaching a date-wheel overlay without adding bulk. It won’t grab immediately on contact, which helps with alignment. Threading the needle cap before it gets sticky can be a small chore.

Did not hold my watch dial
I tried to use this to mount a dial whose feet didn't match the movement. After waiting several minutes it slipped right off. It may suit other repairs but failed for this one.

Good adhesive, frustrating tube
The glue performs well with no issues, but the metal tube is hard to control — a light squeeze often produces an unwanted continuous flow that clogs the needle.

Recommended by specialty suppliers
Suggested by trusted parts suppliers. I use it on tiny leather knots and to join metal to leather. Dispenses evenly, dries clear with no cloudy finish, and the small tube lasts a long time.

Reliable for repairing watch crystals
It secured a Bulova cocktail watch crystal perfectly. The bond dried invisible and didn’t emit fumes that might affect the movement. Once set, the crystal looked unchanged and remained firmly in place.

Ideal for precision jewelry work
The fine tip allows tiny, mess-free applications. It dries clear, holds knots and small findings, and gives a short working time for adjustments. A little goes a long way.
