Smooth retraction, minor worries
Arrived earlier than expected and installation was manageable though a bit time-consuming. I like how the mesh retracts; my only concern is the plastic hooks, which feel like a potential weak point. So far it’s doing the job.

Durable under heavy dog traffic
We put this in our new house to keep the dogs downstairs and it’s been great to operate one-handed. Big dogs (around 65+ lbs) have bumped into it repeatedly and it’s held up for nearly a year. We secured one side to iron railing with zip ties; they loosen a bit over time but haven’t caused failures. A four-year-old can open it easily, so it’s not ideal if child-proofing is the main goal.

Perfect for my deck

Flexible fit for awkward stair top
This gate solved a tricky installation at the top of stairs where the floorboard and railing made standard gates unusable. I mounted the main spindle on the front left and the hooks on the inner right wall. One minor hiccup: the left-side mounts have a different screw spacing than the right, so I improvised a small spacer to cover a gap. That tweak was simple and the gate works well now.

High-quality, versatile barrier
We own two of these for our daughter and find them stable once mounted. Before kids, they worked well as dog gates. They’re versatile but mounting can be tricky depending on the surface.

Does the job for stairs and decks
These gates installed easily and have held both dogs and a toddler safely from the stair edge. They lock well and the mesh seems durable. My young grandson can unlock it coming up the stairs, so supervision is still needed.

Stylish and handy—until it was chewed
Easy to install and clean-looking, the gate retracted smoothly and was convenient to use while carrying things. After a few days our dog chewed through the mesh, so we moved it away from pet access. It’s great for toddlers and small spaces, but not chew-proof.

Simple setup and reliable
This gate was very quick to assemble and adjust. The pressure-mount-style fit my doorway without damage and felt secure. One-handed opening is extremely handy when carrying a baby, and the height and width are appropriate for most openings.
