Patio
Solana 70-Gallon Outdoor Resin Storage Bench
Product description
Exterior dimensions: 54.6 in. L x 23.4 in. W x 32.8 in. H. Interior usable space: 50.4 in. L x 19.7 in. W x 15 in. H, providing roughly 70 gallons of concealed storage beneath the lid.
Construction is all-weather polypropylene resin with a textured, natural wood look. The material is designed to resist peeling, denting and corrosion common to metal or real wood outdoor furniture. Built-in ventilation and moisture-resistant seams help keep cushions and other stored items dry.
The hinged top doubles as additional seating for two to three people and is rated to hold up to 551 lbs. The lid can be secured using a standard padlock (padlock not included). The unit ships as the storage bench with assembly hardware and instructions; basic assembly tools are required and two people will speed the process.
Typical uses include storing patio cushions, pool floats, garden tools, holiday décor, pet supplies and other outdoor accessories while providing an attractive, space-saving bench for a deck, patio or near a pool.
Pros
- Large 70-gallon interior capacity
- All-weather resin with wood-like finish
- Seats two to three and supports up to 551 lbs
Cons
- Plastic panels can crack if handled roughly
- Requires assembly and occasional replacement parts
- Padlock must be purchased separately
VerdictThe Solana storage bench combines generous hidden capacity with usable seating and low-maintenance resin construction. It resists rot and rust, keeps gear dry thanks to ventilation and moisture resistance, and supports heavy loads. Expect some assembly and treat plastic panels gently; replacement parts are available if damage occurs in transit.

Perfect for porch deliveries
Bought it in 2023 to hold packages while away. My husband assembled it with no trouble. It’s light but roomy enough for big delivery boxes and, placed under my carport, nothing inside has gotten wet.

Plenty of room
Assembly was straightforward — I did it alone but two people would make it faster. The bench is sturdy, fit my outdoor spot perfectly, and holds all my gardening supplies while offering comfortable seating.

Arrived with missing hardware
Package arrived incomplete — no screws and the lock hasp was missing, so I couldn’t secure the lid.

Surprisingly spacious interior
The inside is huge — fit a full sleeping bag, a folding table, pool floats and a 5-gallon tank, and it still closed easily. Stable and seems waterproof; assembly went smoothly.

Durable look and practical design
Attractive wood-like texture and durable resin that resists splintering and fading. The 70-gallon capacity stores cushions and tools easily; it cleans up with a wipe-down and the instructions are generally simple to follow.

Functional but clearly plastic
The material sits between cheap and premium plastic. You can tell it’s plastic when seated; not luxurious but it hides 70 gallons well. It does the job, though I think it’s a bit pricey for the material.

Handle with care — plastic can crack
Order was delayed and a replacement was sent quickly. Heavy straps cut into the box and the lid arrived with a roughly 3-inch crack and a few broken pieces. Once assembled I decided not to return it, but be aware of fragile spots.

Don’t be discouraged by negative posts
I inspected all parts and read the manual before assembling. Some snaps didn’t click perfectly and one part arrived damaged, but I completed assembly and contacted the maker for a replacement component without issue.
