Stouchi VESA-Certified DisplayPort 2.1 Cable (10 ft, DP80)
Product description
What it is and what it solves:
This product is a VESA DP80 (UHBR20) DisplayPort 2.1 cable sold as a two-piece 10-foot set. It’s designed to eliminate handshake failures, flicker and signal dropouts on ultra-high-refresh and ultra-high-resolution displays by providing a lab-tested 80Gbps data path suitable for uncompressed 4K at 360Hz and 8K at 120Hz when the GPU and panel support those modes.
Construction and materials:
Inside each jacket is 28AWG oxygen-free copper conductor intended to maximize signal fidelity. The cable uses a triple-layer shield system—a woven nylon outer braid, an aluminum foil layer, and a metal braid—created to suppress EMI and RFI that can corrupt high-bandwidth transmissions. Connectors are fitted with reinforced SR strain relief to reduce stress at the termination and are rated for over 10,000 bends for everyday durability.
Connector and fit:
The plugs feature a precision friction-fit design that grips the DisplayPort socket to avoid accidental disconnects from desk knocks while still allowing clean removal without harming the GPU port. There is no mechanical locking pin, but the fit is engineered to stay secure in static desktop setups and monitor arms.
Performance and compatibility:
The cable supports DP 2.1 UHBR20 throughput (80Gbps) and falls back to DP 1.4/1.2/1.1 where necessary. It handles DSC for extended ranges (e.g., 8K@240Hz with compression) and supports Dynamic HDR, NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. It’s been tested across a range of GPUs and displays to ensure plug-and-play operation without driver changes.
Use cases:
It’s aimed at esports players chasing 360Hz panels, creators working with 8K footage, multi-monitor arrays, and system builders who need a sturdy, tangle-resistant cable that performs under heavy bandwidth loads. Because total throughput is also limited by your GPU and monitor, verify device support for DP 2.1 UHBR20 to access the full 80Gbps.
Warranty and support:
The manufacturer backs the product with a two-year service commitment and promises rapid replacement for defective units within a short response window. The brand positions this cable as a long-term accessory for demanding users.
Pros
- Official VESA DP80 (UHBR20) certification for 80Gbps throughput
- Durable triple-layer shielding and 28AWG oxygen-free copper core
- Secure friction-fit connector and reinforced strain relief
Cons
- No mechanical locking latch on the connector
- Longer runs may still face signal limits depending on devices
- Some users report mixed results on very long lengths
VerdictIf you need a heavy-duty DP 2.1 lead for ultra-high-refresh gaming or pro video work, this VESA-certified 80Gbps cable is engineered to deliver stable, lossless signals where uncertified cords often fail. Its robust construction, snug connector, and broad compatibility make it a solid option for competitive gamers, content creators editing high-bitrate footage, and builders routing longer runs. Be

Length gives needed routing freedom
Swapped out shorter cables for these and appreciated the extra slack. The longer reach made it easy to route behind dual monitor arms without pulling tight or stressing connectors.

High-performance DP1.4 alternative for gamers
I purchased the 2 m DisplayPort 1.4 Stouchi cable and it’s become essential for squeezing the most from modern GPUs and gaming screens. It supports a 32.4 Gbps bandwidth for smooth 2K@240Hz, 4K@144Hz and 8K@60Hz. G-Sync, FreeSync and HDR10 all worked flawlessly. The nylon braid and solid connectors give it real longevity, and internal shielding kept the signal clean.

Excellent image and sturdy construction so far
Just installed this cable and it’s been rock steady. Picture quality is sharp, no flicker or dropouts yet, and the braided jacket feels durable. Connectors were easy to seat and tight. I’ll keep an eye on longevity, but initial impressions are very positive.

Impressive presentation and accessories
Packaging felt premium and included velcro ties for cable management. The cable functions perfectly and is long enough to route through monitor arms. A very polished unboxing and setup experience.

Promising hardware but inconsistent at long lengths
I ordered two of the 15 ft options. Physically the cables are very robust and thick, and the connector fit felt snug. However, at 4K@240Hz I experienced flicker and gray artifacts—image stability was poor. The lack of a locking button might be fine for static setups, but the signal reliability on the longer run didn’t meet expectations. I reached out to support but didn’t get a full resolution.

Annoyingly effective compared to pricey rivals
After trying several higher-cost cables that failed to wake my display or handle DSC, this one worked flawlessly. Stable signal, DSC support, and reliable wake behavior—frustrating because it outperformed cables costing much more. If it holds up, I’ll keep buying spares.

High-performance DP2.1 without the premium markup
I tested the 6.6 ft braided DisplayPort 2.1 cable and its build quality stood out right away. It’s DP80 certified and supports up to 16K@60Hz and common high-refresh profiles like 4K@240Hz and 1080p at very high rates. The nylon braid keeps the cable tidy and protected, and it handled high-bitrate signals cleanly during my gaming and editing sessions.

Noticeable image improvement over my prior cable
I upgraded from another brand and immediately saw better color and clarity. Happy to recommend Stouchi.
