5-Pack Clear Seed Starter Trays with Humidity Domes — 12-Cell Kit
Product description
Complete kit contents
This bundle includes five clear seedling trays, five matching base trays to catch excess water, five clear humidity domes with adjustable vents, and ten plant labels to identify varieties. Each seed tray contains 12 individual cells, giving you capacity to start up to 60 small seedlings at once.
Materials and construction
The trays, bases, and lids are molded from lightweight but sturdy plastic meant for repeated use across seasons. Each cell has a tapered shape to help remove seedlings when roots fill the cavity. The base trays sit beneath the cell inserts so spills and runoff are contained.
Design features and how to use
The domes have built-in vents you can open or close to control airflow and moisture; closing them raises humidity for germination and opening them encourages hardening off. All 12 cells on each tray include bottom drain holes that improve air exchange and prevent water from pooling, which promotes healthier root growth. The clear material lets you observe root development without disturbing the seedlings.
Where they work best
These compact trays fit neatly on windowsills, under grow lights, inside small greenhouses, or on shelving in indoor grow setups. They’re intended for starting vegetables, herbs, flowers, succulents, and small bonsai seedlings, and are easy to wash and store between seasons.
Pros
- Clear trays allow root inspection without disturbance
- Adjustable dome vents for humidity and temperature control
- Reusable, compact design fits small indoor spaces
Cons
- Cell size can be small for larger transplants
- Dome vent attachment can require careful handling
- Plastic is thin in places compared with heavy-duty trays
VerdictThis five-piece starter set gives hobby growers a convenient, reusable way to begin seeds indoors. The clear trays make root development visible, the domes have adjustable vents to manage humidity and temperature, and each cell has drain holes to reduce overwatering. Cells are compact, so they’re best for starting many small seedlings rather than growing large transplants. Overall, a practical, du

Seedlings sprout but require steady hands to transplant
Seeds germinate well in these, but I struggled removing tiny seedlings to transplant—may be a dexterity issue on my part. They do produce healthy sprouts, though.

Great for getting a head start on my garden
These trays are my go-to for early-season starts. They sit neatly under my grow lights, feel sturdy, and should last several seasons. Very practical for starting lots of seedlings.

Perfect for moving sprouts into hydroponic pods
I used these as nursery trays after germinating seeds in a Tupperware setup. They work great for transferring seedlings into my hydroponic LetPot sponges and baskets. The domes block light, vents help airflow, and the cell tray lifts from the base for easy draining. With a grow light, this made a convenient nursery stage for my pods.

Excited to see rapid growth
These mini-greenhouses are fantastic — I could actually watch things sprout. They’ve changed how I start seeds indoors.

Well-designed, self-contained starter set
I wanted a compact, self-contained seed kit that wouldn’t fall apart after a season — this fits. The clear lid with vents and the base tray keep mess contained. The plastic is thin but firmer than flimsy 72-cell trays. The vent spinner takes both hands to press into place and isn’t removable once set, so be deliberate when installing it. Cells taper nicely, making seedlings easier to pop out when roots fill the space.

Solid idea but cells feel small
I bought these after people warned against peat pots. The trays are fine quality but the cells are rather small, which could make transplanting trickier. The green vent wheel didn’t snap into place perfectly on mine. I like that the soil is less exposed to gnats, though, so hoping germination goes smoothly.

Reusable and well constructed
I like that these are reusable and sturdier than the flimsy ones you see elsewhere. They should last many uses.

Handy small trays that save space
They work well and are perfectly sized when you don’t need a large tray. Great for saving room while starting a few plants.

Excellent for germination; lid could seal better
Great for sprouting seeds in a humid environment thanks to the domes. The containers are strong and plentiful, though the lid doesn’t seal perfectly. I cleaned and stored mine for next season.

More durable than typical starter trays
Many seed trays fall apart quickly, but these feel much more durable. I plan to buy additional sets.
