Aila + Aiden 6-in-1 XL Play Mat & Play Gym (Sage) — Baby Activity Gym
Product description
Adaptable 6-in-1 design: This extra-large baby play mat transforms into six configurations — tummy-time pad, activity gym with overhead toys, pop-up mesh fence, seated activity center, ball pit (balls included), and a lamb-shaped zipper bag for storage. The setup is intended to evolve with infants as they progress from newborn visual engagement to rolling, tummy time, sitting, and early crawling.
Sensory and developmental accessories: The set ships with five detachable hanging toys crafted to stimulate vision, hearing, touch, cognition, and gross motor skills. A double-sided high-contrast cloth book is included; it features six different patterns to encourage early visual development. The attached toys can be removed for washing, and the book’s patterns are designed for newborn attention and cognitive growth.
Materials and construction: The mat is generously padded to cushion little falls and has a textured, non-slip base to keep it steady on hard floors. Fabrics are soft to the touch and made for routine cleaning. The package contains the mat, five hanging accessories, several soft plastic balls for the pit, and the lamb zipper bag for easy storage of toys and balls.
Safety and care: The play gym is CPSC tested and compliant as of 2023, meeting CPC and CPSIA certification standards. Use on a flat surface and always supervise infants while they play. The components are removable for laundering or surface cleaning, and the mesh fence pops up for an enclosed play area that can be folded flat for storage.
Practical points: The mat’s neutral sage palette fits well in living spaces that don’t want overtly bright baby gear. It folds into the included lamb bag for transport or stashing away. While roomy for many early months, very mobile toddlers may quickly outgrow the enclosure function; consider this when planning long-term use.
Pros
- Six different play modes in one product
- Thick padding with a slip-resistant base
- Includes hanging toys, balls, contrast book, and storage bag
Cons
- Could include more balls for the pit
- No modular expansion for larger play area
- Mesh enclosure won’t contain older crawlers
VerdictA roomy, well-padded activity mat that grows through multiple early stages and packs several sensory features into one product. Sturdy, machine-friendly materials, safety certifications, and removable toys make it a practical pick for many families, though expansion options and extra balls would improve longevity for some infants.

Perfect score from us — baby loves it. Great for lying down or tummy time, and very comfortable.

Fast Setup, Family Approved
Arrived before our third baby and has become our favorite. Assembly was quick enough that my five-year-old helped put it together. So far it’s held up well and gets daily use.

Solid Features and Easy Cleanup
I was looking for a mat with a protective mesh ring and this delivers. The fence helps keep things contained and the surface wipes clean after spit-ups. Build quality feels substantial, and the whole set looks very cute. I’d absolutely recommend it.

Comfortable for Tummy Time
My little one really enjoyed tummy time here; the sensory toys encouraged reaching and improved motor skills. It folds away neatly into the storage bag for future use, though once crawling starts it won’t keep them contained.

Roomy, Soft, and Stylish
This play mat is spacious enough for rolling and stretching, with plush padding that absorbs little tumbles. The hanging toys are engaging and the modular setup adapts as my baby progressed from tummy time to sitting. The muted color scheme fits our living room too. Worth the investment for comfort and versatility.

Good Value and Gentle Design
My child enjoyed the accessories and it lasted a long time. Easy to wash; the balls arrived a bit squashed but were an easy fix. The neutral color works for reuse with future siblings.

Nice but Needs Expansion
The mat was pleasant and served its purpose, but it was outgrown quickly. An option to expand the play area would make it more useful long term.

Long-Lasting and Gentle Colors
We started using this at three months and at eleven months it’s still a daily favorite. I wish it came with more balls, but it’s lightweight, easy to wash, and the hanging toys detach for cleaning. The muted hues are calming and the contrast toy is helpful for early development.
