Outdoor
Battery-Powered Waterproof LED Headlamp — 2-Pack (Black)
Product description
This package contains two black, battery-powered LED headlamps equipped with XPG2 LEDs. Each lamp can produce up to 1300 lux and projects a beam that can reach roughly 400 feet (120 meters). On the lowest output setting the lamp can run up to about 22 hours. Batteries are not included in the package.
You can select from six distinct lighting configurations: spot light (high and low), flood light (high and low), and red light (steady or flashing). A combined spot-plus-flood option is available for wider coverage while maintaining distance. Controls are straightforward so you can switch modes while wearing the lamp.
Each headlamp ships with an elastic, removable headband that is washable. The strap is adjustable to fit adults and children and can be worn over helmets and hard hats. The lamp itself weighs approximately 1.94 oz; when batteries are installed the weight is around 3.5 oz, keeping the assembly light enough for extended wear during runs or hikes.
The lamp housing tilts up to 45 degrees, allowing you to direct the beam without straining your neck. The tilt mechanism locks to minimize bounce during movement, making it suitable for jogging, backpacking, or hands-free tasks.
Built for outdoor conditions, the unit resists splashing and spraying from any angle and stands up to rain, cold, heat, and the occasional drop. The construction is designed to be shock-resistant for field use and general rough handling.
Pros
- Very bright XPG2 LED with long beam reach
- Six lighting modes including red steady/flash
- Lightweight, washable headband fits helmets
Cons
- Batteries are not supplied
- Red mode is relatively dim for long trail walks
- Headband may wear sooner than the lamp itself
VerdictThese two battery-operated LED headlamps are a solid pick for outdoor use: bright long-throw beam, multiple modes (spot, flood, red), and a comfortable, washable strap. Lightweight and built to resist splashes and shocks, they’re practical for camping, running, or work. Keep spare AAA cells on hand, as batteries must be supplied separately.

Red light can be activated directly
You can switch the red lamp on without cycling bright white first, which helps preserve night vision. Brightness is respectable.

Handy for late-night campsite trips
Needed a replacement for a dead lamp and liked that these take standard AAA cells. I avoid built-in rechargeable gadgets for gear that sits unused. The red lamp is perfect for low-disturbance bathroom runs, while the white beam is bright enough to be blinding at close range.

Bright white beam; so far so good
Performs well and seems to match the claimed brightness. I prefer replaceable batteries for trail use and the red setting helps keep night vision intact. Will update if anything wears out.

Good build and useful red mode
Sturdy, with several output levels and a functional red light for inside a deer blind. Red isn’t very bright for unmarked trails, but the white modes are more than adequate.

Battery-powered headlamp performs well
Runs on three AAA cells per unit and offers strong light output. I haven’t fully tested runtime yet, but initial performance looks promising.
