BASE CAMP Silver/Black Reusable Dust Mask (M Plus) with 6 Filters
Product description
Materials and construction: The mask body combines nylon outer fabric with melt-blown filtration media in its internal layers. Filtration is delivered through a replaceable, six-layer filter cartridge that includes activated carbon and advanced nanofiber elements. The manufacturer cites EAPI filter technology and nanotechnology enhancements to reach a claimed 99.6% particle capture rate for dust, pollen, odors and other airborne particulates.
Included items and sizing: The respirator is offered in an M Plus fit and ships with multiple replacement activated carbon filters. The kit also includes an adjustable elastic band system that threads through ear openings and secures across the crown, plus hook-and-loop fasteners to fine-tune the rear strap length for a better neck/head fit. A replaceable internal filter is shown installed in promotional images; replace it with a fresh cartridge before regular use.
Fit and comfort features: An adjustable metal nose clip helps seal the mask against the face and reduce eyewear fogging. The design uses enlarged one-way exhaust valves and a high-quality mesh layer to improve airflow: the mesh construction is reported to increase breathability and circulation, reducing heat buildup. Enlarged valves assist in expelling heat, water vapor and carbon dioxide to keep the interior drier and help the filter maintain performance.
How it’s used: Install a fresh six-layer activated carbon filter into the housing, shape the nosepiece, and position the elastic headband or attach the included over-the-head straps to relieve ear pressure. The one-way valves are designed to remain sealed on inhalation so air is drawn through the filter media; on exhalation the valves open to allow airflow out of the mask. The mask can be air-dried after washing; avoid tumble drying to limit shrinkage or wear on components.
Pros
- High multi-layer filtration with activated carbon
- Adjustable elastic and hook-and-loop strap system
- Enlarged one-way valves and mesh for improved breathability
Cons
- Exhaled air exits through vents unfiltered
- Nose bridge can feel stiff or irritating
- Fit and ear-loop design may be bulky for smaller faces
VerdictThis BASE CAMP M Plus respirator blends distinctive styling with practical features: a six-layer replaceable filter (activated carbon), enlarged exhaust valves, an adjustable nose clip and a hook-and-loop plus elastic strap system for fit customization. Breathability and moisture control are improved over many cloth options, but exhalation vents allow unfiltered air to escape and the nose bridge c

Comfortable with spare filters
Very comfortable and includes extra replacement filters.

Nasal bridge is uncomfortable
I have an average-sized face and a small nose, but the bridge area digs in and is uncomfortable for me. Otherwise the mask fits my head and seals reasonably well.

Very good — translated
One of the best face coverings I’ve used, with washable spare filters and strong protection against dust.

Uncomfortable fit; doesn’t stay put
The ear loops aren’t adjustable and don’t provide proper tension, so the rear band carries the load and strains the lower neck. Fit and pressure felt wrong for me — won’t buy again.

Performs well in light use
Used it a few times since getting it and it has worked fine for my needs.

Small tweak required, otherwise impressive
The mask pulled on my ears at first, but the included elastic strap that runs over the crown fixed that. It’s comfortable and filters incoming air through multiple layers including a carbon insert. I tested the inlet ports and they seal on inhalation with an internal rubber disk, so air is drawn through the filter. However, when you breathe out the vent opens and lets unfiltered breath escape, so it won’t stop you from spreading airborne illness if you’re contagious.

Solid mask — great for larger faces
This mask performs well; I bought multiple packs. I wash and air-dry mine (no dryer). It was too large for my face but fits my husband perfectly — he says it’s breathable, soft, and comfortable. Overall a worthwhile purchase for him.

Effective but bulky and hot in extreme heat
It feels dramatic on the face — like a sci-fi helmet — and in 130°F weather it’s pretty unpleasant. In milder conditions it’s tolerable. I avoid the ear-loop hinges and wear the band around my head; once inside a facility I use it and remove it fast. Despite the bulk it seems protective, so I gave it high marks.

Better than cloth options
Package arrived with two masks, six filters and two adjustable elastic bands that sit over the head to relieve ear strain. The material is thicker than most cloth masks but the mesh keeps it breathable. The nosepiece is a bit rigid but it seals well enough for dust and pollen. The labeling includes P2.5 and N99 markings, though it isn’t a medical respirator.
