Product description
The SPR657 Elipse is supplied as a reusable half-mask respirator with replaceable filters specifically rated for organic gases, vapors and particulate contaminants. It ships in M/L sizing and includes the filter cartridges designed to protect against solvents and aerosols commonly encountered in painting, automotive repair, construction, agriculture and shipyard tasks.
The body is molded from a soft, odorless thermoplastic elastomer that is hypoallergenic and made without latex or silicone. A flexible, easy-to-adjust headband secures the mask, and the design emphasizes low breathing resistance to reduce fatigue during wear. Filters are user-replaceable and have an expected service life of up to three years under normal storage conditions.
The facepiece is extremely lightweight and compact to maximize comfort and preserve a wide field of vision. Its shape is made to avoid interference with mandatory eye and ear protection. The unit carries NIOSH approval TC-84A-9377. Runs a bit small
Feels smaller than expected compared with my other M/L mask; creates an awkward seal and packaging seemed inexpensive. I hoped for better build quality.

Works for welding with a compatible hood
Performs well for welding fumes, but you’ll need a hood roomy enough to clear the mask’s profile. I like the horizontal strap because it doesn’t block my helmet.

Seals well with other PPE
Filters organic fumes like lacquer and clearcoat effectively. Straps are easy to use over headphones and goggles, and the top strap can be removed to hang it around my neck.

Low profile but fit could improve
As a mechanic and welder I appreciate the slim design, but the straps feel a bit weak and I had trouble getting a perfect seal despite a medium face size.

Comfortable and effective for painting
I bought this for spray-paint work and it stopped paint odors completely. Comfortable and much less bulky than full respirators; good for hobby and light professional jobs.
