Product description

What’s included: two flat soapstone holders preloaded with soapstone chalk and an additional ten flat soapstone refills for quick replacement and extended use.

Material and build: the soapstone supplied is #1 grade, producing bright white marks that are easy to see against steel. The soapstone is formulated to resist high temperatures and to be water-resistant so that markings remain legible and are not burned away during welding. The holders are made from stainless steel and fitted with a copper buckle for a comfortable grip and enhanced durability.

How it’s used: insert a flat soapstone into the holder to scribble layout lines, targets, seam locations and measurements on metal. The flat profile is intended to give a broad, consistent stroke for quick marking on plates, pipes and fabricated assemblies. When the soapstone is spent or broken, replace it with one of the ten refills included in the pack.

Applications: designed primarily for welding and metal fabrication, this set is also useful for cutting layouts, shop marking, and other workshop tasks where temporary, high-visibility markings are needed.
