Renewed Sony PS3 Blu-ray Remote Control — New Version

Product description

This listing is for the Sony PlayStation 3 Blu-ray remote control, new version, offered in renewed condition. The package typically contains a single remote control unit designed to operate Blu-ray playback and PS3 media functions; accessories such as printed documentation are not always included.

The control is built in a compact, handheld form factor made from molded plastic with a matte finish for grip. Button layout includes transport controls (play, pause, stop, skip), directional pad and select, numeric keypad, and dedicated PS3/media keys. The design matches the later PS3 remote revisions and is intended for direct infrared communication with the console.

Use is straightforward: point the remote at the PS3 and operate disc playback, navigate media menus, and control volume or basic system functions where supported. It requires standard remote batteries and pairs to the console via infrared line-of-sight—no special cables or complex installation are needed.

Pros

  • Dedicated playback and navigation controls for PS3
  • Compact, ergonomic handheld design
  • Simple setup when instructions are available online

Cons

  • Sold renewed, so condition may vary
  • Printed manual often not included
  • Some buyers reported receiving the wrong item

VerdictThis renewed new-version PS3 Blu-ray remote delivers the expected playback, transport, and menu controls for PS3 media apps and Blu-ray discs. Build and function are generally reliable and setup is quick if you can access the online manual; however, a minority of buyers experienced incorrect items being shipped and replacements arriving wrong as well. Good for anyone who wants a compact, dedicated

No printed manual included; I downloaded the instructions and had it working in under five minutes. Functions perfectly.
