8-Piece Foam Door Stopper & Finger-Pinch Guard — Pack of 8
Product description
What’s included: eight identical foam door stoppers designed to slip onto a door edge or around a door frame depending on door style. They arrive ready to use — no hardware, adhesives, or drilling required.
Materials and design: each stopper is made from soft, closed-cell foam that cushions a door’s closing action. The foam is lightweight and flexible, available in bright colors that blend with modern interiors while adding a playful touch to children’s rooms.
How it’s used: the pieces are meant to be placed over the top or side edge of a door or around the frame so the door cannot fully close. They act as a finger-pinch guard and also reduce noise and impact when a door is swung shut. They can be moved from one door to another in seconds and stored easily by slipping them onto a knob or tucking them away when not needed.
Protection and versatility: besides guarding little fingers and preventing pets from being accidentally locked in, the foam stoppers protect walls and trim from direct contact when a door swings shut. They work with interior, exterior, and some sliding doors, as well as closet and drawer fronts in homes, daycares, playrooms, and classrooms.
Durability and care: the foam is washable and reusable, but heavy repeated slams can shorten its lifespan. The pieces hold their shape under normal daily use and are intended as a temporary, movable childproofing and pet-safety measure rather than a permanent hardware replacement.
Pros
- Prevents finger pinches and reduces door slams
- No tools or adhesives — quick to install and remove
- Soft foam cushions door and protects walls
Cons
- Foam may tear or compress after heavy use
- May not fit every door thickness securely
- Not wide enough on some doors to block the handle fully
VerdictThis eight-piece foam kit is a simple, no-tools solution to reduce door slams and finger-pinching incidents. It’s lightweight, easy to move between doors, and quiets impact, though the foam can wear on very heavy or repeated slams and may not fit every door perfectly.

Simple and effective
Well made and straightforward to fit. I use them so my grandson won’t pinch his fingers in doors.

Keeps access open for my cat and litter box
I use these to prop doors so my cat can reach the downstairs litter box. If a child closes a door accidentally, the stopper still leaves enough space for the cat to pass. The soft foam doesn’t mark trim and cuts down on noise.

A little flimsy but does the job
They feel somewhat cheap at first glance, but they’ve been holding up and doing what I need, so I’m satisfied for now.

Lifesaver during toddler door obsession
We’re in the thick of toddler door slamming and these are a simple fix. They stop the doors from shutting fully and I worry less about tiny fingers. Very easy to attach and remove; the eight-pack lets me keep them on key doors. Smaller and less obtrusive than other childproof gear, they’ve been worth having for our curious two-year-old.

Saved little fingers and reduced constant slamming
These have helped stop my toddler from hurting his fingers and from repeatedly shutting doors. They aren’t wide enough to stop the handle from hitting the wall, but they prevent pinches and reduce how often doors get slammed. I also used a DIY pool noodle fix for extra protection against the wall — handy if you need an added buffer.

Material too weak for frequent slams
They felt too small for many of my doors and didn’t survive more than a couple weeks of being slammed. I tried four and each split down the middle when pressure was applied.

Decent but smaller than similar ones
These arrived smaller than others I’ve owned. They’re okay and work in a pinch, but not outstanding.

Perfect for a rental and our mischievous cat
Our cat often gets stuck behind doors, so we wanted a non-permanent option that didn’t require sticky tape. These slide on around the frame easily and we store one on a doorknob when not using it. The soft foam stops loud bangs and protects trim; after a month they look fine. Some reviews warned they might loosen over time, but they’ve stayed functional so far. We usually place them low by the handle, though you can position them higher if needed.
