Adjustable Kids Bike Helmet with LED Tail Light and Detachable Visor
Product description
Construction and materials:
This helmet uses in-mold unibody construction combining a hard polycarbonate outer shell with EPS foam inside to absorb and disperse impact forces. The finish is lightweight yet durable for regular outdoor play.
Sizing and fit:
An easy-turn rear dial adjusts the internal cradle to accommodate a range of head circumferences. Side straps with quick-adjust sliders and a padded chin strap work with the dial to secure the helmet. The stated head-size range is 50 cm to 57 cm (about 19.7"–22.4"). The helmet weighs roughly 250 g (0.55 lb), keeping it comfortable for sustained wear.
Ventilation and visor:
There are 16 airflow channels through the shell to promote cooling during activity. A detachable sun visor snaps on and off for flexibility — it provides shade and an added barrier on forward impacts.
Lighting and fastening:
A built-in rear warning light offers three modes (steady, slow flash, fast flash) to boost visibility in low light. The interior features soft padding, triangle regulators for strap routing, and a high-impact buckle that fast-connects and releases for convenience.
Compliance and use:
The helmet is intended for multi-sport use (biking, scooter, skate-style activities) and complies with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission standard for bicycle helmets for persons age 5 and older. After any significant impact, replace the helmet as it can no longer provide full protective performance.
Pros
- Lightweight with strong in-mold construction
- Rear LED warning light with three selectable modes
- Easy dial adjustment and adjustable straps for a snug fit
Cons
- Fit can run small for some children
- Limited size options for larger heads
- Helmet should be replaced after a crash
VerdictA well-made youth helmet that balances protection, comfort, and kid-friendly styling. The in-mold polycarbonate shell and EPS foam offer impact protection while the 16 vents keep kids cool. The rear LED with three selectable modes improves visibility for evening rides, and the detachable visor helps shield eyes from sun and scrapes. Fit is easy to fine-tune with the rear dial and adjustable straps

Easily Adjustable
Nice helmet with an attractive design. The rear dial tightens well for a secure, snug fit — my 8‑year‑old is happy to wear it.

Visor Absorbed the Impact
We bought this for our 6‑year‑old and days later he had a bad spill. The visor took most of the blow and prevented more serious facial injuries. We ordered a replacement and are switching the other kids to this style. Fit felt better than his old helmet.

Comfortable and Stylish
Both kids actually enjoy wearing these because they’re comfortable and look good. Plenty of adjustment for growing heads; I’d recommend them.

Runs Small
Looks and feels high quality, but the medium ran tight on my child’s 21.5" head. Would have preferred a larger size option.

Gentle Fit for Sensitive Wearers
Perfect for a child who’s fussy about helmets — it stays put without discomfort and he can put it on himself. The rear light is a helpful extra.
