2-Pack 29" TPU MTB Inner Tubes — Ultralight Presta 45mm
Product description
This listing supplies two 29-inch inner tubes made from thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). Each pack contains two separate tubes sized to work with 29" mountain bike tires in widths 1.9, 2.0, 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4 and 2.5 inches and fitted with a long Presta valve (45 mm / about 1.77 inches).
The tubes are molded from high-quality TPU and include a dedicated puncture-resistant layer to help fend off sharp debris while on trail. Their ultralight construction reduces weight to roughly 63 grams per tube — roughly 100 grams lighter than many traditional butyl alternatives — which helps reduce rotational mass and makes acceleration feel snappier.
Compactness is a key benefit: the material and thin profile let each tube fold down small enough to fit comfortably in a saddle bag, backpack or rucksack pocket. Riders who carry spares will notice the space savings and lighter pack load compared with bulkier butyl tubes.
On the road and trail these tubes produce lower rolling resistance than heavier inner tubes, which can translate to smoother, faster rides. Installation is straightforward on compatible rims and tires, but care is important during handling. Do not inflate the tube beyond 3 PSI before mounting it in the tire; overinflation while outside the tire can deform or burst the tube.
If any issues arise after delivery, the seller offers technical guidance and an after-sales guarantee to help resolve problems.
Pros
- Very light at about 63 g per tube
- Puncture-resistant TPU layer for better protection
- Fits 29" tires from 1.9" to 2.5" with 45 mm Presta valve
Cons
- Plastic valve instead of metal
- Susceptible to damage if overinflated before fitting
- May require a clean tire interior to avoid sealant-related problems
VerdictThese 29" TPU inner tubes deliver significant weight savings and compact storage for trail riders who want faster acceleration and easier carry. The TPU construction includes a puncture-resistant layer and a 45 mm Presta valve for compatibility with a wide range of 29" MTB tire widths (1.9–2.5). They’re not a perfect replacement for every situation — valves are plastic and care is needed when fitt

Great for a lightweight emergency kit
Perfect spare for a pack that keeps getting heavier. Instead of one heavy butyl tube I now carry two TPU tubes. Saves both room and grams.

Disappointed — valve failed on first ride
Loved the weight, but it failed on my first outing: the valve tip came off and couldn't be fixed. Had to discard it. Hoping it was a one-off defect.

Keeps air, performed well on easy trails
Extremely light and held pressure through the winter after I installed them in fall. They were fine on green trails; one was flat after a blue trail morning but a reinstall fixed it.

Converted me from regular tubes
Was skeptical at first but they impressed me. Simple to fit, robust, and I wouldn't switch back from these on my bikes unless I go tubeless.

Tiny and pocket-friendly
Bought as a spare for my rucksack so I haven't tested it in anger. It compresses much smaller than a conventional tube and weighs noticeably less.

Affordable, lightweight with decent durability
I've tried many TPU brands and versions from this maker. These have plastic valves but I haven't seen a performance hit. Keep the tire interior clean before fitting; old sealant can cause issues, though one I installed on-trail held despite a messy sealant job.
