Boveda 72% Humidity Control Packs, Size 60 — 4-Pack for Dry Conditions
Product description
What you get: a four-pack of Size 60 humidity sachets, each individually sealed in a resealable outer bag. Each pack is a soft, brown, tamper-resistant pouch filled with a salt-based moisture solution (a brine formula) that controls relative humidity at 72%.
Materials and size guidance: the packets are constructed to be leak-free and are safe to be placed directly against cigars and other porous premiums. The manufacturer recommends one 5.25" x 3.5" humidifier packet per approximately 25 total items in a humidor or container — adjust upward for larger collections or dry starting conditions.
How it works: the sachets perform two-way humidity control. If the air inside a sealed container is too humid, the pack will absorb excess moisture; if the air is too dry, it will release moisture until the internal environment stabilizes around 72% RH. This process typically brings conditions into balance within 24–48 hours.
Usage notes: remove a pack from the resealable outer bag and place it in the humidifier box or storage container before adding premiums. Do not cut or open the brown inner packet. Replace packs about every three months or when a pack feels hard and brittle. Do not mix a 72% pack with packs set to other RH levels in the same enclosure.
Why choose this method: these humidity packs eliminate the need to rewet sponges, refill beads, or manage gels. They rely on a patented, two-way approach using a brine solution and decades of experience to deliver consistent humidity control for storing, aging, transporting, or displaying delicate items.
Pros
- Two-way humidity control—adds or absorbs moisture automatically
- Low maintenance—no rewetting or refilling required
- Safe to touch stored items; odorless and mess-free
Cons
- Higher ongoing replacement cost than DIY methods
- Requires periodic swapping—about every three months
- Do not mix different RH percentages in one container
VerdictThese 72% RH, Size 60 packs offer hands-off humidity management for porous storage like wood and leather. They steadily add or absorb moisture to hold a stable 72% relative humidity, are odorless, and require no refills. Replace roughly every three months when a pack hardens. They cost more than DIY options but remove the hassle of manual maintenance and are trusted by many collectors and manufact

Essential for keeping cigars fresh—drop one in your storage, close it up, and you can forget about it.

Consistently reliable from Boveda
Always a reliable option for maintaining humidity. I’d opt for 69% for wooden humidors or 65% for acrylic, so choose the RH to match your case.

Ideal for my glass jar humidor
Works reliably in my 106 oz locking glass jar. I stored up to 20 cigars with Spanish cedar sheets and one Size 60 72% pack and saw steady conditions for over a month.

Second Opinion 5/5
Simple, clean humidification that works
These packs are convenient and do exactly what they promise. Keep a spare in the sealed bag until needed; when in use they're odorless and don't affect cigar flavor. They stay mess-free and are fine in direct contact with cigars. The four-pack lasts longer than the smaller travel pouches, which I find better suited to short trips. It's easy to see when replacement is due—the packet firms up. They cost more than homemade alternatives, but the convenience justifies the purchase.

Good packs, may need more than one
Nicely sized for a small humidor and simple to install. The multi-pack arrived fresh and sealed. My first pack dropped to about 68% in a seasoned humidor, so I added a second and it held 72% afterward. Packs can touch cigars without issue—no smell or wetness. Overall a solid product.
