Bushnell Falcon 10x50 Wide-Angle Binoculars (Porro Prism)
Product description
Country of origin: China. Package dimensions: height 3.7 inches, length 13.5 inches, width 8.4 inches.
The Falcon is a 10x50mm Porro-prism binocular built around BK7 glass and fully coated optics to maximize light transmission and image contrast. The large 50mm objective lenses collect ample light for dawn and dusk viewing and general low-light conditions. The optical system delivers a field of view of approximately 300 feet at 1,000 yards and the body weighs about 27 ounces, making it portable for day trips or travel.
Focusing is handled by an InstaFocus lever on the central bridge for rapid adjustments to follow moving subjects rather than a traditional central wheel. The housing features non-slip rubberized grip pads and fold-down eyecups to accommodate both eyeglass wearers and those who view without spectacles. The set ships with a soft carrying case and a neck strap for transport and protection; lens caps are included to shield the objectives when not in use.
Recommended uses include bird watching, wildlife observation, sporting events, theater and concerts, backpacking, travel, and casual stargazing. The rugged exterior and straightforward controls make the Falcon a practical, no-fuss optic for observers who want clear views without extensive maintenance or complex adjustments.
Pros
- Bright images from 50mm objectives and fully coated optics
- Quick InstaFocus lever for tracking moving subjects
- Lightweight, non-slip grip and fold-down eyecups
Cons
- Soft case instead of a rigid protective case
- Some users report difficulty achieving perfect focus
- Manual access is online only (no printed guide included)
VerdictThe Falcon 10x50 delivers bright, easy-to-find views with a simple InstaFocus lever and generous 50mm objectives. It’s lightweight for extended use, includes a soft case and strap, and handles varied outdoor activities well. Some users report occasional focusing challenges and prefer a hard case, but overall it’s a dependable, user-friendly option for casual to frequent observers.

Frustration with no printed manual
The binoculars arrived well packed but in a soft case. The company directs you online for the manual, which is a problem for those without home internet. I’m still learning to focus them with my glasses, so I rated three stars until I can get them working reliably.

Trusted brand, familiar performance
We’ve owned a similar Bushnell pair for decades and they’ve held up well. I bought these for my husband when we moved and he was delighted. The Falcon’s InstaFocus system and magnification matched what we were used to, and the build feels familiar and reliable. He now uses them regularly for birding at our new property.

Strong optical performance; caps need improvement
Lenses perform very well for their size, delivering bright images. The only drawback is the lens caps — they don’t stay on securely and can fall off easily.

Responsive customer support and comfortable fit
My first shipment arrived damaged, but customer support arranged a fast replacement. The binoculars are comfortable, not overly heavy, and the eyecup design works with or without glasses. They came with a carry case that’s handy for travel and hunting trips. Overall very satisfied.

Clear, dependable for regattas and events
Bought these for a youth sailing regatta and they exceeded my expectations. Clarity across the lake was excellent and the focus was smooth, making it easy to track boats from a distance. Good affordable option for outdoor events.

Solid starter pair with simple focusing
I replaced an older worn set and wanted something affordable for occasional use. The central lever focus is easy to operate and made it quick to synchronize my differing eyes. I was pleased with the sharp views. It comes with a soft pouch rather than a hard case, so I’ll handle it a bit more carefully when transporting.

Acceptable for the money, familiar focus system
I didn’t expect miracles at this cost, and these delivered sensible performance. Compared to another popular budget brand, I didn’t see a clear advantage, though the lever focus is convenient.

Great optics for astronomy and nature
I wanted 50mm objectives for stargazing and these delivered good low-light performance. The binoculars feel sturdy and the image quality is clear. The packaging is light, but a neck strap and carrying case are included. It took me a short while to get used to the InstaFocus lever, but once familiar the adjustments are smooth.
