Doorway Pull-Up Bar — Thick Steel Multi-Grip Home Trainer
Product description
Built for home use, this doorway pull-up bar is manufactured from 1.7mm thick refined steel and finished with a corrosion-resistant powder coat. The unit uses heavy lock nuts and reinforced mounts for stability and claims a maximum load rating of 440 pounds. Grips are wrapped in high-fiber foam for comfort, slip resistance, and wear protection.
The package contains the pull-up bar itself plus a supplementary resistance set: two elastic bands (one rated around 30 lb and another around 25 lb), two detachable handles, and a door anchor for band use. For door protection the manufacturer replaced traditional foam with elastic silicone padding where the bar contacts the frame, and also supplies a pair of extra 4mm removable non-marking silicone pads to reduce scuffing during use.
Installation is tool-friendly and leverages doorway leverage to hold the bar in place; it is intended for standard openings roughly 24" to 32" wide and 4.7" to 7.5" deep. Multiple grip positions — narrow, wide, and neutral — let you target different upper-body and core muscles for pull-ups, chin-ups, dips, push-ups, and hanging core work. When you need assistance, the included bands attach via the door anchor to reduce load and help build strength progressively.
The design emphasizes quick setup, portability, and compact storage for small spaces. To protect frames and increase durability the manufacturer recommends checking the silicone pads and tugging the grips before use to confirm correct installation. There is an advertised 180-day return policy if you encounter problems or assembly issues.

Good quality with one minor pad issue
Overall solid construction and setup was quick. The sticky pads didn’t adhere well to an angled frame on my door, but besides that it was simple to install and I use it daily now.

Easy install and no lasting damage
Installation was straightforward for a standard door frame and the protective cushions prevent permanent scuffs or molding damage. I weigh 150 lb and my husband about 200 lb; it supports both of us without issue.

Limited placement and too low for taller users
Usable locations are limited. It’s larger than expected so my feet touch the floor when hanging. Disappointing for taller users.

Perfect for a friendly pull-up challenge
Bought this for a pull-up challenge with friends and mounted it in a living-room doorway. It’s been up nine months with regular use from my son and me and no complaints from my wife. It hasn’t damaged the wall. I’m a large guy and the bars flex a bit under my weight, but nothing has failed yet.

Good for most homes
Assembly was easy. Does not work for very wide openings and the unit is fairly lightweight, but it performs well for household workouts.

Turned my doorway into a compact upper-body station
I wanted an at-home way to work my upper body without big machines and this bar uses a doorway perfectly. The thick steel feels solid and, when installed correctly, the unit holds in place. Multiple grip options let me switch between pull-ups, chin-ups and hanging holds. I’m still working toward unassisted pull-ups, so I clip on a resistance band for assistance. Padded grips are comfortable and it’s easy to remove and store when not in use.

Delivery issues and misaligned parts
Arrived a day late and the packaging looked tampered with. The screws were too short and a spring-loaded locating lug didn’t line up with the holes, which made the unit unusable in my case—very disappointing.
