Eclipse Headstock Clip-On Guitar Tuner (Green) — Clip-On Tuner
Product description
Quick tuning on the instrument is the primary focus of this clip-on chromatic tuner. It provides fast, reliable pitch detection so you can tune guitars, basses and ukuleles onstage or in the practice room. The vertical full-color display is easy to read and the screen orientation plus dual swivels let you set virtually any viewing angle.
Technical details include an adjustable calibration range from 430–450 Hz so you can match different reference pitches. The tuner powers down automatically after inactivity to preserve battery life, and a CR2032 coin cell is supplied in the package so the unit is ready to use out of the box.
Construction is lightweight but sturdy: an ABS plastic housing, metal hinge mechanism and rubber-lined clamp pads protect your headstock and keep the tuner from slipping. The clamp’s spring action accepts a variety of headstock thicknesses and allows mounting on the front or rear edge for both right- and left-handed instruments. Its compact footprint makes it easy to leave attached while playing or to stow in a gig bag.

VerdictA compact, stage- and practice-ready chromatic clip-on tuner that delivers quick, accurate readings and a bright vertical color display. The multi-swivel mount lets you position the screen in front of or behind the headstock for left- or right-handed players, and the clamp grips securely thanks to rubberized pads. Calibration covers a wide range so you can dial in alternate reference pitches, and

Very good for general use
These tuners are accurate and convenient. It’s not a heavy-duty pedal for a pro rig, but it’s consistent for everyday playing. I prefer replaceable batteries over built-in rechargeable units.

Comparable to other popular clip-ons, very portable
Competes well with other well-known clip-on models. I use it on acoustics, electrics and basses; the screen clearly shows how close a string is to pitch. It slips into a gig bag easily and fits the headstocks I’ve tried. So long as it isn’t crushed in a case it seems durable and should serve you for years.

Compact, accurate and incredibly handy
I’ve had this clip-on for a long time and it’s become part of my regular rig. It’s light and small enough to remain clipped on the headstock without getting in the way, yet the grip holds firm and it’s simple to reposition. The bright display is easy to read and tuning is fast — accuracy and response have been consistently reliable for me. Operation is straightforward: clip on, power up, tune, and go. After extended use it still performs well and I appreciate its simplicity and consistent results.

Good when it’s cooperating, but unreliable at times
When it works it’s fine, but it will sometimes shut off mid-tune. Before that happens it can act confused and flicker between notes, or show the animated lines without responding. Restarting or swapping the battery fixes it temporarily, but it shouldn’t need battery swaps so often. I want to like it, but intermittent shutdowns are frustrating.

Solid tuner but could be brighter
Works reliably for me, but I wish the screen had higher brightness for outdoor or dim stage settings.

A home-run improvement over others I tried
This unit outperforms similar clip-ons I owned: the display is larger, the readings feel more precise, and there's no lag hunting for pitch. Very pleased with how it performs.

Disappointing construction and pitch accuracy
I’ve owned several tuners and this one feels cheap and the pitch readings weren’t reliable for me. Surprised to see other positive feedback given my experience.

Simple and recommended for casual use
Clean, easy-to-use design. I bought the yellow model; its small size is great for carrying, though when mounted at the edge of a headstock the screen can be a bit small to read from some angles. The color display and bold segments are generally readable. Overall a solid recommendation for everyday players.

Top-tier functionality for quick tuning
I’ve tried many clip-on tuners and this one nails the core job: get you tuned instantly. The display is clear and intuitive, the needle/indicator is steady, and calibration sticks when you change it. It shows the reference pitch while on, so you always know if you’ve set an alternate tuning. Fast, accurate, and easy to read — great for quick stage or rehearsal adjustments.

Stopped working properly after months
It functioned well for about six months, then the display started flickering uncontrollably. After that point I couldn’t obtain support from the seller — disappointing.
