8-Inch Wooden Handheld Tambourine — Single-Row, Five-Pair Jingles
Product description
This handheld instrument measures 8 inches across and features a single-row configuration with five pairs of metal jingles. The frame is crafted from wood, giving it a traditional feel and a natural look.
The playing surface is topped with a thin, light sheepskin head that helps produce a focused, portable sound while keeping the overall weight low. The metal discs are mounted in a single slot around the rim, providing a bright, jangly response when shaken or struck.
Included is one tambourine only; it’s sold as a single-piece hand instrument ready for immediate use in craft projects, gift packages, classroom activities, or casual musical gatherings. Its compact size makes it easy for children and adults to grip and play.
Care is straightforward: avoid prolonged exposure to moisture to protect the sheepskin head and wipe the wooden shell clean with a dry cloth. The tambourine performs best for light to moderate use—sing-alongs, church groups, parties, and costuming—rather than sustained, professional percussion work.
Pros
- Lightweight and easy to hold
- Traditional wooden construction
- Compact size suitable for kids and groups
Cons
- Metal jingles may be fragile under heavy use
- Not designed for professional/permanent use
- Single-row sound is thinner than double-row models
VerdictA lightweight, well-sized tambourine for casual play and group singing. It offers decent tone for the price, is easy to handle, and works well for children, worship groups, and costumes. Durability of the metal disks and shell is modest, so it’s best for light to medium use rather than heavy professional playing.

Underwhelming tone for musicians
Does the job but the timbre is thin because of the construction.

Solid materials, fun for props
Wood frame and metal discs look and feel authentic. Great for cosplay or light play, though prolonged heavy use may wear the jingles.
