MAONO A04 USB Condenser Microphone Kit for PC Podcasting
Product description
High-resolution audio chipset and sampling: The microphone is built around a professional audio chipset that supports up to 192kHz/24-bit sampling. Frequency response is tuned for smooth, neutral reproduction, making it suitable for studio-style voice recordings, narration, podcasting and streaming.
USB plug-and-play connectivity: The mic connects via USB for a driver-free setup on most laptops and desktop systems. No external sound card is required — simply plug the included USB cable into your computer and begin recording. Note: this model will not work with Xbox consoles, and it does not integrate with the Maono Link system (the A04 Gen2 supports that feature).
16mm electret condenser element and interference control: Inside is a 16mm electret condenser transducer that emphasizes clear vocal detail and a solid low-end response. The USB lead includes a ferrite/magnet ring to reduce EMI and cable interference. Recommended working distance for best vocal capture is roughly 2–6 inches from the capsule.
Complete microphone kit and mounting hardware: The package arrives with a USB condenser microphone, adjustable scissor boom arm, metal shock mount, pop filter, foam windscreen, weighted boom base and a USB-A/USB-C to USB-B cable. The shock mount provides vibration damping and the pop filter and foam windscreen help tame plosives and breath noise. The desk clamp is compatible with tabletops under about 2.1 inches thick.
Compatibility and use cases: This kit works with most Windows and macOS computers, many mobile phones (with appropriate adapters), PlayStation systems and common streaming or conferencing apps such as Discord, Twitch and Zoom. It’s aimed at podcasters, YouTubers, streamers and online meeting users who want an all-in-one mic solution with minimal setup.

Great mic, but boom hardware failed
The microphone itself sounds excellent — I wanted to rate five stars. However, after a year the wrist joint on the boom broke: a bolt snapped and when I tried to repair it the aluminum housing fractured. The sound lived up to expectations, but the boom’s durability let me down.

Excellent sound but missing monitoring output
I own the white version and its audio is fantastic. I ordered a black unit that arrived damaged in transit so I returned it, but the white one performs the same and looks great. I already have several products from this manufacturer and their sound quality is consistently impressive — very clear and natural. The only hardware omission I noticed is the lack of a headphone monitoring jack.

No mute and a bit thin at times
Decent overall, but the microphone lacks a mute button and I found the tone slightly weak in some recordings.

Ideal starter mic for testing content creation
I bought this to experiment with a social channel and it’s been a solid introduction. Assembly was straightforward, Windows recognized it instantly, and voice recordings sound natural and full. The construction feels decent for the price point, though the gooseneck for the pop filter can sag if not positioned carefully.

Worth trying — works better after noise cleanup
After using it for about two months, I can say it’s worth the cost. The sound is clean but it will capture distant noises, so using free noise-reduction tools (for example online podcast cleaners) helps a lot. Processed audio can compete with higher-tier mics, and it also functions with phones without extra apps.

Great pick for voicework from hobby to semi-pro
With a background in radio and VO, I wanted a USB condenser that sounded clean without being fussy. Setup was tool-free and quick; the pop filter and foam cover noticeably reduce plosives. It doesn’t completely eliminate every hard consonant, so placement and a little processing help, but overall it gives a very professional-sounding result for daily office use.

Good starter mic — quick to install
Arrived quickly and was simple to set up by following the manual. Just select it in your system or recording app and you’re ready. I liked the vocal clarity and exterior noises become much less noticeable.

Impressed — a sensible alternative to pricier kits
I compared higher-end options while researching and chose this kit for practicality. It offers many of the accessories you’d expect from a more expensive bundle and performs very well for everyday recording needs. Based on my experience, I’d buy it again.
