XINART 12x12 Cutting Mats for Silhouette Cameo (3-Pack) — Standard Adhesive
Product description
This pack includes three 12 x 12 inch cutting mats designed to fit Silhouette Cameo 4, 3, 2 and 1 models. Each mat uses a standard adhesive surface suitable for medium-weight materials.
The mats are manufactured from a sturdy PVC base with a tacky adhesive layer. A clear removable film protects the adhesive during storage and transport; leave the film in place when not cutting to preserve stickiness.
These mats are suitable for patterned paper, cardstock, pearl paper, vellum, heat-transfer vinyl (HTV), glitter iron-on and other similar craft substrates. Use a scraper to sweep away scraps and a spatula to gently lift finished cut pieces without stretching or tearing.
To maintain performance, wash lightly with water and dish soap if the adhesive gathers debris; air-dry completely before reuse. If tack diminishes, a light application of repositionable spray over the 12x12 adhesive area can restore grip. The boards are especially useful for crafters, quilters, art students and hobbyists tackling a wide range of DIY projects.
Fully compatible with Silhouette Cameo 4/3/2/1 and usable with Portrait machines that accept 12 x 12 mats.
Pros
- Compatible with multiple Cameo generations
- Durable PVC construction
- Comes with protective clear cover
Cons
- Very tacky when new for some users
- Adhesive will wear after many cuts
- May be thicker or thinner than OEM mats
VerdictA cost-conscious alternative to OEM mats that delivers reliable adhesion and compatibility with Silhouette Cameo 4/3/2/1 machines. The PVC construction and strong tack suit patterned paper, cardstock, vellum, HTV and glitter iron-on. They arrive with a clear protective film; keeping it on between uses prolongs service life. Some users find them very sticky when new, and heavy use or many blade cut

Superior to the OEM mat
Excellent adhesive mats for Silhouette machines and much more affordable. The tack feels balanced — not overly aggressive.

Works reliably with Portrait 4
Compatible with Portrait 4, they hold up and the glue maintains its grip over time.

Consistently dependable and economical
Bought a set a year ago and reordered. No issues with initial over-stickiness or rapid loss of grip. They work as well as my original mat and cost less.

Thicker material, heavy initial tack
Works well on Cameo 4; material seems thicker than the OEM mat. The adhesive is strong at first but softens with use.

Performs well with Cameo 4
Cheaper than the name brand and works just as well. I use these on a Cameo 4 and like that they are clear. Very tacky at first; I used freezer paper to position HTV, then smoothed it down to remove bubbles.

Durable and easy to refresh
This is my second purchase; the first lasted years with heavy use. Clean with water, dish soap and a brush, air dry to restore tack. If needed, apply repositionable spray to the 12x12 area and mask the rest. Rubbing with an old T-shirt can reduce excess stickiness. Over time many tiny cuts will reduce accuracy.

Too tacky for some cardstock
They cut well but left a bumpy texture on the back of my cardstock — almost like tearing. I've only tried one mat so far.

Thin and less adhesive for my needs
Not a great fit for me — the adhesive felt weak and the mat is very thin. I've seen registration issues because of the different thickness.

Ideal for Portrait machines
A cost-effective alternative to brand mats. Adhesion holds papers without damaging them and it works perfectly with the Portrait.

Matches the original's performance
Solid mat for the price and does the same job as the branded one. Used it a few times and the adhesive still feels fresh.

High value and lasting tack
I was hesitant but bought the three-pack and am pleased. For what I usually pay for one branded mat I got three. The adhesive has held up — about 20–30 sheets cut so far. They were very sticky at first, which can be tricky for intricate cuts, but fine for simpler work.
