HALO Easy Transition SleepSack — Infant Wearable Blanket
Product description
What you get: one wearable sleep sack designed to ease the transition from a swaddle to independent sleep. It’s intended to be used in place of loose blankets in the crib.
Materials and construction: the outer layers are 100% cotton for a soft, breathable surface, with a polyester fill for lightweight insulation. The product lists a 1.0 TOG warmth rating and includes zipper covers to protect delicate skin.
Design and fit: lightly structured arm panels provide resistance to the Moro (startle) reflex while permitting natural arm movement. The roomy, ergonomic lower portion supports healthy hip positioning and allows kicking and bending of the legs.
Closure and care: an inverted, two-way zipper lets caregivers open from the top or bottom for quick diaper changes without fully removing the sack. The fabric is machine washable for easy care.
Sizes and colors: available in Small (3–6 months) and Medium (6–9 months), and offered in several heather tones. Intended for everyday use over a onesie or lightweight pajamas depending on room temperature.
Pros
- Breathable 100% cotton outer layers
- Two-way inverted zipper for quick diaper changes

VerdictA practical transitional sleep sack that blends gentle structure with breathable cotton to ease the move away from swaddling. Expect good warmth and swaddle-like feel, though pick your size from the chart and note some fabric may pill over time.

Noticeable improvement in overnight stretches
After trying a velcro-style sleepsack that she hated, this one let my daughter sleep longer stretches—she managed eight hours at seven weeks. Gives just enough compression to feel cozy without overheating. I wish we’d switched earlier.

Really reduced startle reflex during sleep
Started using when we moved her arms-out and it made a huge difference. She sleeps long blocks and if she wakes briefly the sack dampens her startle so she doesn’t fully rouse. It worked so well we’re sad she’ll need to stop once she starts rolling.

Soft fabric but our baby wasn’t a fan
Material is very soft, however our little one didn’t seem to prefer it and didn’t sleep noticeably better.

Lightweight and breathable transition option
Our baby took to this sleep sack. It’s lightweight and breathable so overheating wasn’t a worry. Fabric choices let you pick a weight suited to your climate. Solid transition piece.

Good heft but could be longer for taller babies
I like the thickness and it’s simple to put on; sleeves seemed to help a bit with startle. Our little one still struggled with the transition overall, but he does better wearing sleeves. My only gripe is length—at five months he nearly reaches the bottom, so longer options work better for us.

Great for arms-by-sides swaddled sleeper
Our four-month-old used to sleep best with arms at her sides and would break free nightly. This sack reduced startle wakes and allowed her hands for self-soothing. She only woke once the first night (hunger). The material is thicker than her old swaddles so we used it with just a diaper; double zipper made changes easy and it’s comfy for nursing.

Great pick for a fussy sleeper on baby #3
We tried a plain wearable blanket first and got no sleep. This gave the right amount of resistance without weight, so his Moro reflex bothered him less while his arms could move. Quilted material is soft and it zips snug around the chest to mimic a swaddle feel. Buying a larger size now as he grows.

Helped our swaddle transition with useful arm structure
Kept our baby warm at a cool nursery temp when layered with a onesie and footed PJs. The gentle arm shaping cut down startle wakes and the top-and-bottom zipper makes changes simple. Quilted fabric is nice but developed some pilling after several washes. I ordered a size up hoping for longer use but it was too roomy—follow the size guide.
