Organic Turmeric Powder (5 lb) — High-Curcumin Turmeric Supplement
Product description
This product is a powdered extract of Curcuma longa root, supplied in a 5-pound resealable bag intended to serve as a long-term supply for regular users. The package contains raw turmeric powder only — no added fillers or flavorings — and is marketed for supplement and wellness use rather than as a color-forward culinary spice.
The powder is derived from organically grown turmeric root and contains the naturally occurring curcuminoids that provide turmeric’s active properties. It is produced without genetically modified organisms and is free from soy, dairy, gluten, and tree nuts. Each production lot undergoes third-party laboratory testing to verify purity and potency.
Applications include stirring into smoothies, teas, golden milk-style beverages, oatmeal, yogurt, and other wellness drinks, as well as adding to soups or baking for an earthy turmeric presence. Users should note the powder has an earthier, more muted color and flavor profile than some culinary-specific turmeric powders; however, it maintains the characteristic staining ability of turmeric.

- Contains naturally occurring curcuminoids
- Non-GMO and free from common allergens; third-party tested
Cons
- Color and flavor are milder than culinary turmeric varieties
- Earthy, muted taste may not suit all recipes
- Strong staining potential

Supplement-style powder, not a vivid spice
This is pure turmeric intended for supplement use, not the bright, spice-grade powder some expect. The color is a dull brown and the taste is muted, though it still stains yellow. I mix it into golden milk mainly for anti-inflammatory benefits and it has helped reduce my joint pain, even if the drink looks brown.

Noticeable benefits when used consistently
I find this powder more effective for my aches than the pill form I tried. When I use it daily I feel better, and when I stop for a few weeks the discomfort returns, so I keep it in rotation.

Rich flavor and deep color for many uses
I use this everywhere — tea, skincare blends, seasoning, and health drinks. It stretches far and offers a robust flavor and color in my preparations.

Fresh-feeling, quality powder
I’m pleased with the quality — the powder arrived clean, fragrant, and finely ground. It blends well into teas, smoothies, and soups without clumping, and the presence of natural curcuminoids is a plus. The 5-pound size is convenient for regular use.

Very poor flavor and muted color
I found the flavor off — more like dirt with only a hint of turmeric — and the color was flat. Other brands I’ve used keep a vibrant hue, while this turned brown in water and showed some floating white specks on the surface.

Works well for cooking and wellness
I like it and it serves the purpose I bought it for — useful in cooking and for health routines.

Disappointing color for golden milk
If you want a bright yellow for drinks or dishes, this won’t deliver. It’s dark orange-brown and the aroma is only mildly turmeric-like. I made golden milk and ended up with a brown result, which was frustrating.

Good quantity but color concerns
I use a lot of turmeric and the volume is excellent value. However, the powder is very dark brown and lacks the typical bright turmeric taste, which makes me wonder if the batch has oxidized or otherwise changed.
