Snark Clip-On Guitar Tuner (SNARK1) — Rechargeable Clip Tuner
Product description
The SNARK1 clip-on tuner is a rechargeable, clip-style instrument tuner built for guitars, basses, ukuleles and other instruments. It ships with a USB charging cable, a protective soft case to store the tuner, and a small cleaning cloth for the display.
Construction includes vulcanized rubber at the clip joints to prevent slipping and to protect instrument finishes while providing a secure grip. The housing is compact and light, designed to sit on headstocks or brass bells without adding bulk.
Operation is simple: clip the unit to a headstock or bell, and the bright, high-contrast display provides rapid pitch feedback. The quick-charge battery can run for weeks or even months between charges under typical use, and recharging via USB is straightforward.
Pros
- Rechargeable with long between-charge life
- Very bright, easy-to-read display
- Durable vulcanized rubber clip joints
Cons
- Color indicators may vary between units
- Compact size can be easy to misplace
- Battery life depends on usage patterns
VerdictA dependable clip-on tuner that combines fast, sound-sensitive pitch detection with a rechargeable battery and rugged construction. The vivid screen is easy to read from multiple angles and the vulcanized rubber joints protect both the instrument and the clip. Comes with a USB charging cable, protective pouch, and a cleaning cloth — a practical all-in-one option for gigging players and students.

Clip-On for Brass too
I use this clipped to my trombone bell for live work. It stopped me from making unnecessary pitch adjustments. I normally prefer replaceable cells, but after a couple shows the rechargeable battery has been fine and recharges quickly.

Perfect for Ukulele
Small and easy to clip onto my ukulele. When the pitch is correct it lights blue instead of green — might be a unit variation.
