1200 lb Swing-Back Trailer Tongue Jack with 6" Wheel
Product description
This swing-back trailer tongue jack is supplied with the jack assembly, a detachable crank handle, a 6-inch nylon wheel, and basic assembly hardware for mounting. It is designed for portable trailers, small campers, utility trailers and similar rigs.
Rated to lift up to 1,200 pounds, the jack offers an adjustable height range from approximately 12.8 inches to 22.8 inches and a 10-inch travel stroke to accommodate common hitch heights. The swing-back feature allows the unit to pivot rearward and lock in a horizontal position when towing.
The wheel is a 6-inch nylon design intended to withstand tougher surfaces such as lawns, sharp gravel and compacted dirt while keeping rolling resistance low. The rear support bracket includes a swivel capability and a heavy-duty locking pin so the assembly can be secured either vertically for lifting or horizontally for transport.
Built from heavy-duty carbon steel, the jack uses galvanized inner and outer tubes to resist corrosion, and a powder-coated outer finish for extra protection against water, mud and road grime. These treatments are meant to extend service life in marine and outdoor environments.
A removable handle is provided for manual cranking when power tools or electric drives are not available; the handle detaches to save space when the jack is stowed. Depending on your trailer’s mounting plate, you may reuse existing plates or brackets — some users have needed to reuse or modify their original plate for a proper fit.
Manufacturer support is available for pre-sale or post-sale questions and for guidance on installation and fitment. Always verify tongue dimensions and hole patterns before drilling or replacing plates to ensure compatibility.
Pros
- Sturdy 1,200 lb lift capacity
- Galvanized tubes and powder coat resist corrosion
- Swing-back with locking pin and removable handle
Cons
- Mounting plate may not fit all tongue profiles
- Wheel may bind or not swivel on some hard surfaces
- Some users receive damaged packaging
VerdictThis trailer tongue jack offers solid lifting capacity and durable materials for general trailer, RV, and camper use. Its 6-inch nylon wheel rolls well over turf and gravel, and the swing-back/lock pin arrangement makes stowing straightforward. Some buyers reported fitment issues with mounting plates or limited swivel on certain surfaces, so check your tongue dimensions before installing. Overall,

Simple to set up and use
Ideal for my small trailer. Maneuvering it and hooking/unhooking from my tow vehicle is much easier now.

Used as a Shorelandr substitute
Swapped it in for a Shorelandr on a 2000 Sea Ray 180. I had to reuse the original plate and enlarge the trailer holes to 1/2" (instead of 3/8") for the pin, but it worked and saved me money.

Good build but fit issues
The jack feels well made. The box arrived roughed up and the new mounting braces didn't fit my tongue, so I reused the original braces.

Wheel wouldn’t swivel — very frustrating
Terrible experience. The wheel won’t rotate when turning the trailer on concrete, making it hard to use. Very disappointed and I’ll be getting rid of it. One star because zero isn’t possible.
