Filtration performance: the element is rated at 10 microns and is engineered to remove more than 99.8% of emulsified water from gasoline while capturing over 90% of particles down to 10 microns. The media provides high dirt-holding capacity while still allowing the filter to pass 90 gallons per hour, making it suitable for high-horsepower applications.
Fit and compatibility: this high-capacity 6" unit replaces several OEM part numbers, including Yamaha MAR-FUELF-IL-TR and MAR-10MEL-00-00, Mercury 35-8M0154754, and Mallory 9-37807. Solved my outboard performance issues
I installed it on my existing base, pre-filled the element and ran several gallons of fuel through it. I collected a sample in a clean glass jar and sealed it. Over two weeks there was no debris or contamination visible. Before fitting this separator I had intermittent poor performance from the outboard; that problem cleared up after installation.

Exactly the same form and function
I usually pick up replacements locally, but decided to try this model when I needed one away from home.
