Includes three large bonded filter pads in a blue-and-white dual-color finish that supply multiple filter placements. Each sheet is intended as a multi-use pad for routine mechanical filtration — cut to size with household scissors and position atop a media basket, inside a sump, in a canister, a hang-on-back filter, pond skimmer, or terrarium filter.
Construction and dimensions
Made from a double-bonded polyester/poly filter material with a dual-density profile: a finer white fiber face for trapping small particles and a coarser blue backing that provides support and bulk. The pads are classified as 2-inch in-tank pads; measured dry they run about 10" x 20" x roughly 1–1.5" (thickness can vary slightly by production batch). The white face filters down to the lower micron range (roughly 500–1000 microns), while the blue side acts as a structural layer.
Performance and maintenance
Designed to catch detritus and suspended solids while allowing adequate water flow so filters won’t be over-restricted. Because of the greater thickness, a single pad often replaces the need to stack multiple thinner sheets. Rinse or replace as needed depending on your bioload — in lighter systems a pad will last longer, while heavier setups require more frequent changes. The generous value pack supplies enough material for several changes or multiple filter positions.
Compatibility and tips
Fits hundreds of filter models for freshwater, saltwater and pond use. Trim with sharp scissors or a utility knife for a clean fit. Place the fine white side toward the incoming water flow for optimal particle capture, and use the blue side as the backing against baskets or housings. Store dry to retain loft until ready to use.
