Arc Clamshell Light Reflector Diffuser 180×60 cm with Rolling Stand
Product description
Arc-shaped form: This clamshell reflector uses a curved, U-style profile to bounce and wrap light across your subject, reducing harsh shadows and emphasizing facial detail. The hood-like shape is intended to focus reflected light toward a subject while keeping spill under control.
Four interchangeable surfaces: The cover is reversible and includes four finishes — white, gold, silver and black — that change the character of bounced light. White yields soft, neutral fill; silver adds contrast and punch; gold warms skin tones; and black is used to block or subtract unwanted reflections. Hook-and-loop fasteners let you switch panels quickly.
Construction and materials: The frame is built from hand-formed aluminum extrusion paired with a multi-coated, reversible fabric that resists creasing and helps scatter rays evenly to avoid hot spots. The fabric and coatings are designed for durability and repeated use in studio or on location.
Mount and adjustability: The kit includes a solid aluminum-alloy stand with a swivel mount and lockable casters that rotate 360° for easy positioning and rolling. A brake locks the wheels for stationary work. The reflector angle is set with a rotatable knob so you can tilt it up or down to precisely shape the light. The stand extends from approximately 23.82 inches to 31.9 inches to suit different shooting heights.
What’s in the box: One 70" x 24" (about 180 x 60 cm) clamshell reflector with four-color reversible cover (white, gold, silver, black); one rolling light stand with caster wheels; one padded carry bag; one swivel stand mount; six curved frame tubes; and two metal support rods. It’s intended for portraits, headshots, makeup and video when you need reliable supplemental lighting.
Pros
- Multiple reflectors for varied light styles
- Sturdy aluminum frame with crease-resistant fabric
- Rolls and stores in included carry bag
Cons
- Initial assembly can be fiddly
- Some stand parts feel lightweight
- Not ideal for frequent teardown and travel
VerdictA versatile curved reflector system that offers multiple lighting finishes and stable positioning when set up. The reversible cover and durable reflective coatings deliver predictable, even fills and highlights. It shines for portrait and beauty work, and packs down for transport — but assembly and some stand components may test patience, so plan to set it up in a dedicated space rather than on-th

Skip the wheels if mobility is critical
Reflector material is good, but the support bar felt flimsy, the adjustment knob slips, and the casters struggled under load.

Does the job, but setup needs patience
Delivers the expected lighting results and I'm generally satisfied. The frame is a bit awkward to assemble—takes time and care—but the finished setup performs well.

Compact enough for location work
Great for on-location shoots — folds into the supplied bag, takes little room and is light enough to carry between jobs.

Transformed my portrait lighting—gives that extra pop and smoother fills I was after.

Couldn’t finish assembly
Instructions were too basic and I couldn't complete the build.

Noticeable image improvement
My photos improved noticeably. Putting it together was clumsy at first, and the instructions could be clearer, but it was workable.

Not for frequent assembly
If you have to put it up and take it down often, look elsewhere. Assembly is fiddly and disassembly is slow; best left stored in a studio closet.

Four stars — stand feels light
I rate it four stars. The support stand seems a touch underbuilt, but the reflector panels themselves work beautifully.
