Dog Tug Toy — Jute Bite Pillow with Two Strong Handles
Product description
Included in the package is a single bite-size tug pillow constructed from a jute and cotton blend with soft internal stuffing. The outer fabric is lightweight but wear-resistant, with a focus on texture that appeals to dogs.
Edges are double-stitched and the seams are reinforced to help keep the soft filling contained during regular interactive play. The pillow itself is compact enough for an owner to hold comfortably during fetch or tug sessions while still substantial for a dog to bite and shake.
Two sturdy rope handles are attached to opposite ends of the pillow so the human can maintain a firm grip and guide play. The handles are built to be comfortable in the hand and to give good leverage during training, enabling controlled tugging without slipping.
Size and shape are intended for easy interaction: it’s easy to throw, easy to grip for both dog and handler, and useful for reward drives, bite training, ring sport drills, agility play, and general exercise. The coarse jute/cotton surface also helps dogs scrape at their teeth, contributing to better dental maintenance while they play.
This product is designed for owner-led tugging and training only — not as an unsupervised chew object. Always supervise sessions and remove the toy if it becomes damaged or if stuffing or handle material begins to come loose.
Pros
- Textured jute/cotton surface dogs enjoy
- Dual rope handles for secure grip and control
- Double-stitched seams help retain stuffing
Cons
- Not suitable for aggressive, unsupervised chewers
- Handles can loosen under extreme force
- Requires supervision to avoid ingestion of filling
VerdictThis jute/cotton tug pillow performs well as an interactive play and training tool: comfortable to hold, textured for dogs to grab, and stitched to resist everyday tugging. It is not built to withstand determined, unsupervised heavy chewing, and some buyers report handle failure under very rough use. Overall, a solid choice for controlled tug-of-war, reward-based bite work, and general engagement

Withstands a tough-jawed dog
I waited a while to review because my Dogo Argentino destroys toys quickly. This one has stayed intact and she plays with it every day. I’d recommend it for strong dogs that are still supervised.

Soft and easy for her to carry
Doesn’t feel like a rope tug. My dog brings it to me constantly to play. Soft and easy for her to grip.

Puppy favorite
Our pup loves this pillow. It feels well made, great for tugging together and he also plays with it on his own. I’d buy another.

Surprisingly durable for my pack
My dogs typically destroy toys, but they both enjoy this one. They won’t tug it — they use it more like a pillow — and it’s still holding up.

Dave r I had it for 6 months, I needed it and when I did it didn't work at all t 1/5
Handles snapped almost immediately
The pull straps were weak and both broke within minutes. My dog barely tugged. Wouldn’t recommend.

Best with guided tug play
My German Shepherd loves it. When used in structured tug sessions it’s perfect. If you let dogs have free rein with it, damage can happen faster.

Too fragile for a power chewer
My Malinois chewed the handles off in under an hour and it started fraying the same day. Stuffing came out and even made him cough, so we discarded it after two days. Good size and look, but not tough enough for extreme chewers.

Lab and heeler approved
Tough enough for my Labrador and Blue Heeler. I wish it were a touch longer for two-dog tugs, but it works great on the flirt pole.

Sturdy and great for training sessions
Solid jute feel with two reliable handles that make tugging and bite-reward work easy. The stitching has stayed intact during regular play. Not meant for chewing, but for interactive training it’s well worth it.

Jute survived, handle pulled free
After several uses the jute remained intact but one handle pulled out around the sixth play. Unsure if this unit had an internal canvas liner; previous versions I owned lasted longer with a liner present.

Perfect texture for a gentle-mouthed pup
I have a 13-month Golden who is soft-mouthed and he actually tugs on this one. The texture is grippy but gentle on his gums. I’ve bought a few; one got left in the car and he chewed a hole in it.

She absolutely goes wild for it
My dog flips out when I pull this out. She tore the handles first, but the jute body has held up well. Still fun to play tug without the straps. I’ll buy another when this one finally gives out.
