Indoor Rabbit Hutch with Wire Floor, Removable Trays & Casters
Product description
Elevated Wire-Mesh Lower Level for Hygiene: The hutch includes a sturdy metal mesh floor on the bottom section that keeps rabbits and other small pets above their droppings. Waste falls through the mesh and collects in the removable trays underneath, helping maintain a cleaner environment with less frequent direct contact with soiling.
Generous Dimensions for One or Two Small Pets: The overall unit measures 40.6" L x 26.0" W x 37.6" H, providing enough living space for one to two rabbits, guinea pigs or similar animals. The framed panels and mesh offer consistent airflow while keeping animals safely contained indoors year-round.
Two Deep Locking Slide-Out Trays: Two individual deep pull-out trays sit beneath the mesh floor to capture waste and bedding. Each tray locks in place to prevent accidental sliding and spills, and they pull out for quick emptying and washing to simplify routine maintenance.
Chew-Resistant Metal-Edged Ramp: The connecting ramp is protected by metal strips along its full length to resist persistent gnawing. The ramp surface is textured and free of splinters to protect sensitive paw pads and provide dependable traction as pets move between levels.
Mobile Base with Brake Casters: Four swivel casters (two with brakes) are mounted to the base so the hutch can be moved easily between rooms, a patio or a backyard area. Engaging the brakes secures the unit during play or when pets are active.
Pre-Drilled Panels and Included Hardware: All pieces arrive with pre-drilled holes and the necessary fasteners for assembly. With two people and appropriate tools (a drill is recommended) assembly can be completed in roughly 30 minutes. Properly fitted, the structure is stable and intended for regular indoor use.
Pros
- Elevated wire floor keeps animals cleaner
- Two deep locking pull-out trays for easy cleaning
- Metal-reinforced ramp and lockable caster mobility
Cons
- Assembly benefits from an electric drill and two people
- Wood components can split if screws are placed too close to edges
- Not chew-proof for determined gnawers
VerdictA thoughtfully designed small-pet hutch that balances ventilation, cleaning convenience and mobility. It offers useful features — raised wire flooring, deep pull-out trays, metal-reinforced ramp edges and lockable wheels — though assembly can require tools and wood parts may show minor splitting. Good for indoor use if supervised with heavy chewers.

Stylish, spacious cage — I loved it
I really liked this hutch. It looks modern and the wood finish gives it a furniture-like appearance rather than a typical cage. Plenty of room to arrange bedding and accessories. Multiple doors and compartments make access and cleaning simple. The mesh provides good ventilation while keeping the pet secure. It fits well with home decor and I’m very pleased with it.

Honest take: big and sturdy but smelly on arrival
It arrived with a strong chemical odor, so we aired it outside for weeks and hosed it down. Not roomy enough for full-time rabbit housing in my view, but ideal for rats, guinea pigs or similar smaller pets if they’re let out often. Solid construction, many doors and good wire protection against chewing. Assembly is a bit tedious. I added a hammock to the open area for enrichment. Worth it if you can tolerate the initial smell.

Low-end construction but correct dimensions
Feels quite budget-level and has rough edges in places. I’m unsure how long it will last. On the positive side, the size is suitable for our needs.

Requires a drill but turns out nice
You’ll want a drill to put this together; once I used one it was straightforward solo. A couple of pieces split slightly during build but it didn’t affect stability. The casters make moving and cleaning easy. My rabbit uses the upper sleeping area and manages the steep ramp fine. Happy with the purchase.

Solid choice for two rabbits
We bought two units for our unaltered rabbits. The first one had a few tight-fitting pieces but the second went together smoothly. Multiple doors and the removable trays make cleaning easy. The wire holds bowls, but I place the water dish over the litter area since it seems a bit heavy for the mesh.

Glad I ignored the negative feedback
I expected problems after reading complaints but every piece was present and undamaged. Letters on parts were faint but usable when laid out. The wood is light but assembled tightly it feels sturdy. I used a little wood glue and silicone for peace of mind, though it wasn’t strictly necessary. Follow the instructions carefully and take your time aligning panels for best results.

Solid, well-designed hutch with smooth mobility
Very satisfied so far and giving five stars. Two people made assembly manageable and a power drill speeds the job — a screwdriver alone is tough. The wood smelled fresh initially, which I liked. We had a little splitting when screws were placed too near panel edges, but avoiding those spots fixed it. My rabbit went in immediately; the ramp is a bit steep but she’s learning. The wheels glide and lock, making the whole unit easy to move and position. Overall, quality construction and smart features.

Serious health concerns — avoid if animals chew the wood
Do not use this around animals that might gnaw the wood. We had a show rabbit develop severe digestive issues after months with this hutch, and later porch rabbits showed similar problems when exposed to it. After removing the hutch the issues subsided. I can’t prove causation, but the correlation was alarming. If your pet chews, choose a non-wood alternative.

Not suited for persistent chewers
Not ideal for animals that love to gnaw. I put it together myself, though two people would be easier. Some parts lacked clear labeling and the ramp hardware needed a bit of adjustment to align properly. The slide-out tray is convenient for cleaning, but remember the structure is wood and can be damaged by constant chewing.
