Grapevine Bird Perches — Natural Parrot & Budgie Climbing Branches
Product description
Each perch is carved from wild grapevine, left in its natural, irregular form so no two pieces are identical. The set comes with a built-in bolt and a wing nut so you can fasten the branch directly to cage bars without extra tools.
Branches measure about 9 inches long, with base diameters roughly in the 0.7–1.1 inch range. Because they are handmade from natural vine, thickness and shape vary from piece to piece, which helps exercise different foot muscles.
The surface retains its natural texture rather than being smoothed; this roughness helps birds grip the perch more securely and gives their feet something to practice on, assisting in claw maintenance.
These branches satisfy chewing instincts and create interest with offshoots and trimmed ends that birds can gnaw. That chewing activity can reduce boredom and related behavioral issues by offering safe, edible stimulation.
Installation is simple: tighten the wing nut against the cage bars to hold the branch in place. The mounting system is designed for stability, but some users may prefer larger washers or extra reinforcement depending on cage bar spacing or the size of their bird.

Cons

Exactly as advertised
No issues — the perches matched the description and worked fine for my birds.

Good perch, watch the washers
The branch adds variety and keeps my bird’s feet active. The only hiccup was the small washers could slip between bars, so I swapped in larger washers to keep it stable.

Attractive and my budgie uses it
My budgie immediately started perching on it. The pair I ordered looked good in the cage and felt secure once mounted. Sizes vary so getting two was a good call.

My conure enjoys the branching shape
The offshoots and natural bends are great—my conure chews and climbs on them constantly. Arrived quickly and was worth getting.

Much nicer than a plain stick
I appreciate that these are true grapevine pieces rather than straight sticks. The bends and uneven diameters seem gentler on my bird’s feet and help prevent stiffness. I do wish the branches were available in much longer lengths to span my cage, but the included screw and wing nut made installation quick and simple.

Works well in a terrarium too
I used one in my baby ball python’s terrarium. After a wash and a light vinegar soak to remove a mild odor, it fit right in and has been sturdy.

Variety of widths helps foot health
I had other natural branches already; these added both thicker and thinner spots so my birds get a better workout. Plenty of chewable areas where the vine was trimmed.

Used in a homemade stand
We attached these to a DIY natural-wood stand and reinforced the screw holes with glue before mounting. They worked, but the diameter was a bit narrow for our cockatiels. Still, they were well packaged and made for a happy gift moment.

Good size for small to medium parrots
Bought for my budgies and they love it. The length and diameter suit smaller parrots and budgies well.
