UD65 Light-Duty Utility Clamp — 6.5" Capacity, Quick-Action F-Clamp
Product description
This single UD65 utility clamp ships as one quick-action F-clamp, ready for immediate use in workshop and fabrication tasks.
Built for shop use, the clamp provides a 6-1/2" maximum opening and a 3-1/4" throat depth to reach into tighter work areas. The tool is rated to exert roughly 500 lb of clamping pressure and rides on a 5/8" x 5/16" rail. A 5/16-18 tapped hole in the body accepts accessories or custom attachments.
Designed to speed setup, its quick-slide mechanism and key-ring stop let you position and lock much faster than traditional C-clamps. Rugged construction and welded joints give it the durability expected in welding and metalwork environments; it’s operated with a squeezing motion and can be used while wearing gloves.
Pros
- Fast one-motion setup and release
- Solid holding force for light-duty tasks
- Accessory-ready 5/16-18 tapped hole
Cons
- Not optimized for single-handed fine adjustment
- Limited to 6.5" capacity and 3-1/4" throat
- May be overkill for very light hobby work
VerdictA sturdy, quick-adjusting utility clamp that delivers reliable holding power and faster setup than conventional C-clamps. With a 6.5" capacity, 3-1/4" throat depth and a 5/16-18 tapped hole, it suits welding, woodworking, and general shop work. Not ideally a one-handed tool, but it works with gloves and offers a useful balance of reach and force.

Helpful for hobby welding
As a hobby welder with a folding table, magnet mounts were mediocre; this clamp holds far better. Not ideal for one-handed use, but usable with welding gloves. I'll buy more, including larger sizes.

Right size for smaller jobs
Perfect size compared with a bulky 12–14" clamp; this handles up to about 5.5" and offers a deeper throat than many C-clamps.

Quick to set and versatile
These slide together quickly and tighten fast. I've used other brands; these are the quickest. Bought 6" and 8" sizes — the throat depth is the same, so the larger size covers smaller work. The threaded hole is handy for accessories or custom fixtures.

Great for tight spots
Needed clamps for tight spots; these fit where others won't. Affordable and convenient, though I haven't stressed them heavily.

Good tool, annoying price change
I liked the clamp's feel, welds, and clamping force and planned to buy more. Then the price jumped significantly within days, so I decided not to stock up — they lost some of their value appeal.
